04-12-1960 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING • COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. APRIL 12, 1960 Regular Meeting of the Board of CommissionersApril 12, 1960. Meet ing was called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissioners McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded. The minutes of the Regular Meetingof April 5th, 1960 wereread and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance author- izing and providing for the periodic issuance of Temporary Notes of the City of Salina., Kansas , not to exceed a total amount of $1,430,000.00 to pay the cost of acquiring property or interests in property and of improving proper ty for Off -Street Parking Facilities, as provided in Resolutions Nos. 2264, 2289 and 2292, including construction and equipment of buildings there on and to pay other necessary costs authorized by Chapter 12, Article 6 (a) of the 1959 Supplement tothe Gene r al Statutes of Kansas 1949, in connection with the Salina Off -Street Parking Facilities." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by s ections • and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6433• An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance: providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Numher 5549 and the Zoning District Map therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of oer tain property within the City and precsribing the proper uses thereof." On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by s ections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6434. City Engineer filed plans for Ash Street and Elm Street bridges. Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept and advertise for bids tobe received up to and including Tuesday,._Apri-+-_-6th, 1960 at four o'clock P. M. Have plans prepared for Kenwood Park Bridge and North Ohio Street Bridge. Commissioner Jaeger approve. Carried.
