Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 29th, 1960. Meeting was
called to order by Acting Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissiom rs Ramsey,
Bull, Exline and Jaeger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner McCune
absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 22, 1960 and Special Meetings of
March 22, 1960 were read and approved as read.
Bids on Water Pump.
Commissioner Exline - Bids more than Engineer's Estimate rejected and advertise
for bids to be received April 5th, 1960 at four o'clock P. M.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance pro -
viding for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map
therein and trereby adopted and providing for the rezoningof certain property within
the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections •
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Acting
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6429.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
ratifying and confirming a contract with Doerfler-Krapff Corporation doing business
as Doerfler-Krapff Construction Company for the construction of Lateral Sanitary
Sewer District 4131, and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to pay the
cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Acting
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6430.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance rati-
fying and confirming a contract with the Doerfler-Krapff Construction Company for the
construction of certain improvements on certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas,
and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending I
the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent.
Acting Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6431.
City Manager reported on the following petitions:
2324 Sidewalk for 1500, 1600 and 1700 Blocks on Maple Street, 50% •
Commissioner Jaeger moved to approve.
2333 Curb, Gutter and concrete paving North Twelfth Street from Hamilton
north to North line of Lot 15, Block 49. 66%
Commissioner Bull moved to approve.
2334 Curb, gutter and paving Albert Avenue; Leland Way; Raymond Avenue;
Wayne Avenue; Quincy Street ; Quincy Court, all in Gebhart Manor Addition. 100%
Commissioner Jaeger moved to approve.
2329 Curb, Gutter and paving Wisconsin Street from Iron Avenue, north
to the north line of Lot 2, Surveyor's Plat 8, Salina, Kansas. 50%
Commissioner Exline moved to approve.
2328 Curb, Gutter and paving Otto Avenue; Meadow Lark Lane; Haskett Avenue,
in Nordboe Addition 100
Commissioner Jaeger moved to approve.
2327 For sewers in Nordboe Addition. 100%
Commissioner Bull moved to approve. •
2326 For paving Seventh Street from Harsh to Antrim. 53 %
Commissioner Jaeger moved to approve.

Following petitions presented and on motion of Commissioner Jaeger referred
to City Manager:
Curb, gutter and paving Otis Avenue from Fourth Street to Santa Fe Avenue.
Concrete paving Ellsworth Street from Lewis to Ohio.
Sewers to serve Block 2, and 11, Riker Manor Addition.
Petition for rezoning property on south side of Park Street between Ninth and
Tenth Streets; Lots 1, 2, 3, 4 and part of Lot 5 on Park Street, Bishop's Addition to
the City of Salina, Kansas, to "D" Gone.
Commissioner Jaeger moved to efer to City P}anning Commission.
Applicationfor Cereal Malt beverage License received from:
Anthony Breit, d/b/a "Don's Lounge" 201 South Santa Fe Avenue.
Commissioner Bull moved that application be approved and license granted.
Discussion of sidewalk ordinance, changes in new Ordinance Book approved.
Ordinance introduced for first reading relating to "Refuse Collection Service."

An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Acting
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1009.
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the Board of Commissioners adjourn ed.
