Meeting was called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissioners McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey and City Att orney Barta responded. The minutes of the Regular Meet ing of March 8th, 1960 and Zoning Board Meet- ing of March 8th, 1960 were read and approved as read. Bids received for improvements in Rolling Hills Add ition (Job 401) as follows: Brown and Brown Inc., $2662877.90 0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company $269,445.50 City Engineer 's Estimate $272,976.00 • Commissioner Exline moved to award contract to -Brown and Brown Inc., as per bid submitted in the stun of $266,877.90 and return check to unsuccessful bidder. Contract Ordinance introduced for first reading. Ordinance passed: _ — 6 , Number No persons appeared to protest the rezoning of Lots 4,5,6,7 and 8, Tucker Park Addition to Zone "D". On motion of CommissionerRamseyZoning Ordinance introduced for first reading. Ordinance passed: �"' � a Number 6 An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled : "An ordinance for the vacation of certain street s within the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinace was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bill, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6423. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance for the vacation of certain alleys within the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Raffigey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6424. • Resolution introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution authorizing and order- ing certain street, sewer and sidewalk improvements, ordering preparation of plans and specifications and the estimate of costs." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; ayes: McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2321. Resolution introduced for second reading entitled "A Resolution relating to the resurfacing of Santa Fe Avenue with Hot Mixed Asphaltic Concrete, from the south I line of South Street tothe north line of Ash Street." On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exlire, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2322. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled "A Resolution relating to the resurfacing of Iron Avenue with Hot Mixed Asphaltic Concrete.,from the east line of Fifth Str eet tothe west line of Ninth Street." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2323. • An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinace regulat- ing television and radio towers and prescribing penalties for the violation thereof and repealing Ordinance No. 5734." On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi- nance and it is Numbered 6425. Petition Number 2336 for vacation of that portion of North-South alley lying between Lots 175 and 177 on South Fourth Street and Lots 176 and 178 on South Third Street in the Original Town of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. Ordinance introduced for firs t reading. Ordinance passed : ,,� - � 43 Number City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications for improving streets in Jarvis Addition, provided for in Ordinance Number 6421. Commissioner Exl-ine moved to accept, and authorize the City Clerk to advertise for bids to be received up to and including March 22, 1960 at four o'clock P. M. M. for the con- struction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer 413. Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License received from: Gregory J. Paglia Tony's Bambino 812 North Broadway Commissioner Bull moved that application be approved and license granted. Petition presented for approval of Replat of Moose Addition. On motion of Commissioner Ramsey referre d to City Planninr Commission. City Engineer filed Estimate Number � in the amount of $404.55 to M. L. Parrish for sidewalk construction provided foi- in Job 394. Estimate approved by Commissioner Exline. Wilson and Company, Engineers, filed Plans for High Service Pump and Appur- tenances for Water Plant. Commissioner Exline moved to accept and set date for bids April 14 1960 at four o'clock P. M.
