Meeting was called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissioners McCune, Bull, Exli n , Jaeger and Ramsey and City Attorney barta responded. as read. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of march 1, 1960 were read and approved Hearing was held on Resolution Number 2315. Shalimar Improvements. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution determining the advisability of certain street, sewer and sidewalk improvements, estimating the cost thereof, defining the boundaries of the improvement district, method of assess- ment and apportioning the cost between the improvement district and the City at large." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exlire, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2318. City Manager reported on Petition Number 2336 for the vacation of that por- tion of North-South alley lying between Lots 175 and 177 on South Fourth Street , and Lots 176 and 178 on South Third Street in the Original Town of Salina,Saline County, Kansas. Commissioner Ramsey moved to refer to petitioner for more signers. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled.: "A Resolution re- lating to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Rahm Street with concrete, Thirty-three (33) feet wide? from back of curb toback of curb, rom a east line of Fourth Street tothe east line of Third Street." On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exlim , Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 23 19. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled "An ordinance relat- ing to the codification of the General Ordinances of the City of Salina, Kansas, amending Section 1 of Ordinance Number 6211 and repealirr-rn said section." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exlire, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6122. Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License received from: Wendell W. Kessler, d/b/a "Yankee Clipper" 136 North Santa Fe Avenue. Commissioner Exline moved that application be approved and license granted. • Petition presented from Harry Banker,for asphalt paving of Beverly Drive from Viemont, west to City limits; Rocket Avenue from Beverly Drive south to south line of Blocks 1 and 2; Jamseon Avenue from south line of Beverly Drive to ffproperty I south property line of Blocks 2 and 3, all in Moose Addition; Elgin Drive from Rocket Avenue to Beverly Drive. Commissioner Exline moved that petition be referred to City Manager. Commissioner Ramsey moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading for the vacation of ertain streets within the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. Meeting was called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissiore rs McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded. Notice of Hearing was held on Penny Building Company application to waive Loading and Unloading provisions. No protests. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution relating to the authorization of non-compliance with the Loading and Unloading provisions of Ordinance Number 5519 for Lots 128 and 130 on Santa Fe Avenue, Original Town of Salina, Saline County, Kansas, address known as 136 and 1142 South Santa Fe Avenue, Salina, Kansas."
