Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 2, 1960. Meeting was
called to order by Acting Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey,
Bull, Exline and Jaeger and Acting City Attorney Bengtson responded. Commissioner
McCune and City Attorney Barta absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 26th, 1960 were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled : "An ordinance pro-
viding for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map
therein and thereby adopted and providing forthe rezonirg of certain property within
the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Acting
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6410.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled:: "An ordinance
providing for the curbing, gutterin , paving and grading of Andrew Avenue with
concrete, Thirt; -three (33) feet wide from back of curb toback of curb, from the east
line of Harold Avenue tothe west line of Page Avenue; curbing, guttering, paving and
grading of Harold Avenue with concrete, Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb
to back of curb, from the south line of Talley Drive tot he west line of Haskett Avenue;
curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Haskett Avenue with concrete, Thirty-three (3
feet wide from back of curb to back of curb, from the north lira of Talley Drive to the
south line of Ingermanson Heights Second Add ition; curbing, guttericg, paving and gradi
of Kenny Avenue with concrete Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of
curb, from the south 1 irs of Talley Drive to he north line of Andrew Avenue; curbing,
guttering paving and gradin, of Page Avenue with concrete Thirty-three (33) feet wide
from back of curb to back of curb, from the east line of Harold Avenue to the north line
of Lot 1, Block 6, Ingermanson Heights 2nd Addition; curbing, guttering, paving and
grading of Talley Drive with concrete, Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to
back of curb, from the west line of Haskett Avenue to the west line of Harold Avenue;
curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Yale Avenue with concrete Thirty-three (33)
feet wide from back of curb toback of curb, from the east line of Page Avenue to the we
line of Haskett Avenue; curborg, gutterirg, paving and gradin of Yale Avenue with cone
Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb, from the east line of
Harold Avenue tothe west line of Page Avenue; and providing for the payment of the cost
thereof, and how the same shall be assessed and the manner of the payment of the cost
thereof .'1
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent.
Acting Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6411.
An ordinance was introduced for secondxeading entitled : "An ordinance cre-
ating and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina,
Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 413, and providing for
the construction of a later al sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District
Num er 413, so created and providing for the payment of he cost thereof and for the
levying of special assessments against the property in said district for the payment of
the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by se cti
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissidner McCune absent. Act-
ing Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6412.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance cre-

"A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Yale
Avenue with concrete, Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb,
from the south line of Lena Avenue to the north 1 ine of Harold Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Bullthe resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,

approved the resolution and it is Numbered 23099.

from the south line of Harold Avenue to the west line of Hageman Avenue."

from the south lire of Harold Avenue tothe west line of Hageman Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Acting Mayor
approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2311.
"A Resolution relating tot he curbing, g uttering , paving and grading of Hazel
Court with concrete, Thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb,
from the west line of Ohio Street tothe north line of Greeley Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the followin vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Bull,
Exline and Jaeger (4 ) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Acting Mayor ap-
proved the resolution and it is Numbered 2312.
The following letters received from City Planning Commission:
Recommendingthat Petition Num er 2316 filed by J.Earl Wyatt,as Agent for
Mayme H. Porter, for the rezoning of Lots 169, 171 and 173 on Fifth Street in the
Original Town of Salina, Kansas, be rezoned to "C; be approved.

On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Bull, Exline and Jaeger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent. Acting Mayor
approved the resolution and it is Numbere d 2305.

On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on

City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications for construction of Lateral Sanitary
Sewer Number 412.
Approved by Commissioner Exlire.
Commissioner Exline moved that City Clerk advertise for bids to be received up
to and including February 16th, 1960 at four o'clock P. M. for the constr uction of
Lateral Sanitary Sewers Numbered 406 and 412.
Bids on Garbage and Refuse Trucks.
Opened and held over to February 9th, 1960 for letting.
Refuse Ordinance continued to February 9th, 1960.

Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 2, 1960. Meeting
was called to order by Acting Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners
Ramsey, Bull, Exline and Jaeger and Acting City Attorney Bengtson responded.
Commissioner McCune and City Attorney Barta absent.
Meeting was held for the purpose of acting on Appraisers Reportsfor the curb-
ing, guttering and/or paving certain streets provided for in Job ,90.
No protests.
Commissioner Exline moved that Appraisers Reports be approved as read.
On motion of Commissioner Bull the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
