JANUARY 26, 1960
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 26th, 1960. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissioners McCune,
Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 19th, 1960; Special Meeting of
January 19th and Board of Zoning Appeals Fleeting of January 19th, 1960, werezead and
approved as read.
No persons appeared to protest the rezoning of Lot 1, and the East 25 feet of
Lot 2, Block 1, Nordboe Sub -Division in the City of Salina, Kansas to Zone "B".
Commissioner Ramsey moved that Zoning Ordinance be introduced for first

• A resolution was introduced for secondreading entitled "A Resolution relat-
ing to the curbitg, guttering, paving and grading of Aullwood Road with asphalt, Thirty-
three (33) feet wide from back of curb to b ack of curb, f rom the south line of Greeley
Avenue tothe nort line of Brookwood Lane."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune,
Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and
it is Numbered 2301.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled : "A Resolution relat-
ing to the curbing, guttering, paving and gradingof Northwood Lane with asphalt,
thirt---three (33) feet wide from back of curb toback of curb, from the west line of
Marymount Road tothe wes t line of Aullwood Road."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull,
Exlim , Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is
Numbered 2302.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratify-
ing and confirming a contract with the 0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company for the con-
s truction of certain improvements on certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas, and
providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance
and sale of bonds."
Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License for f960, from John A. Neal,
d/b/a Dixie Camp Tavern, 805 West North Street, was again taken up by the Board of
• Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, suspended for thirty days, starting, at 12:00
P. M. , Tuesday, January 26th, 1960.
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance

and it is Numbered 6407.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid-
ing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map
therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezonirr of certain property within
the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
ON motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered 6408.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creat-
ing and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas,
designated as Lateral Sewer District Number 412 and providing for the construction of
a laterals anitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 412, so created
and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of special assess-
ments against the property in said district for the payment of the cost of such con-
struction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
McCune, Pull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered 6409.
Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License for f960, from John A. Neal,

City Engineer filed Final Estimate in the amount of $838.63 to L. W. Rexroad
and Son, for construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers Numbered 393 and 394 (Job 379).
Approved by Commissioner Exline.
Petition presented for the rezonirr of Lots 4, 5 and 6. Block 1, Tucker Park
Addition from Zone "A" to Zone "B" to District "D" Local Business.
On motion of Commissioner Bull referred to City Planning Commission.
Application for 1960 Cereal Malt Beverage License received from:
Jimmie G. Mar, d/b/a Mar's Restaurant 712 South Broadway.
Commissioner Ramsey moved that application be approved and license granted.
Contract presented from Wilson & Company, Engineers and Architects for High
Service Pumping Station in the City of Salina, Kansas.
Approved by Commissioner Jaeger.
Commissioner Ramsey moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading
for the curbing, guttering, paving and grading Andrew Avenue, Harold Avenue, Haskett
Avenue, Kenny Ave nue, Page Avenue, Talley Drive and Yale Avenue, all in Ingermanson
Heights Addition in the City of Salina, Kansas.

Commissioner Ramsey moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading
creating and defining Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number//413.

Mayor appointed Mrs. John Riddle as a member of Salina Public Library Board
for a term of four years from February 1st, 1960.
Appointment confirmed by Commissioner Bull.
12 -minute meters on north side of Mulberry Street from Fifth Street to alley.
Approved by Commissioner Bull.
