JANUARY 19th, 1960
Regula Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 19th, 1960. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissioners McCune , Bull,
Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey and City Att orney Barta responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 12th, 1960 and Meeting of Board
of Zoning Appeals of January 12th 1960 were read and approved as read.
Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids w erereceived for
curbing, guttering and paving Bel Air Drive (Job 396) as follows:
0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company $24,430.00
Brown and Brown, Inc., $25,680.50
L. W. Rexroad and Son $25,699.10
Engineer's Estimate $25,675.50
Commissioner Bull moved that contract be awarded to 0. D. Wilmoth Construction •
Company as per bid submitted in the amount of $24,430.00 , and checks returned to
unsuccessful bidders.
Contract ordinance f or curbing, gutte r ing and paving Bel -Air Drive intro-
duced for first reading .

Mayor appointed J. Earl Wyatt, Robert Frederick and N. C. Grant as appraisers
for curbing, gutter ing and paving Bel}Air Drive.

An ordinance was introduced for becond reading entitled., "An ordinance provid -
ing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map
therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezonin of certain property within
the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Exline the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinanc a and it is Num'-ered 6405.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance rati-
fying and confirming a contract with Brown and Brown Construction Company, Ino., for
the construction of South Ohio Street Smoky Hill River Crossing as designated and author-
ized by Resolution Number 2284, and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to
pay the cost thereof pendin7 the issuance and sale of Bonds." is
On mention of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted b sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
McCune, Bull, Exline, Ramsey and Jaeger (5) Nays:(0) Mayor approved the ordinance

Application for cereal malt beverage license for the year 1960 received from
Rosalie N.Baird , d/b/a "Dan's Tavern", 117 South Fifti Street, Salina, Kansas.
Commissioner Bull moved that application be approved and license granted.
Commissioner Bull moved that Resolution be introduced for first reading for
the curbing, guttering and paving Aullwood Road from South line of Greeley Avenue to
the north line of Brookwood Lane."

Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals January 19th, 1960. Meeting was called
to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and CommissiomrsMcCure, Bull, Exline,
Jaeger and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded.
The following Notice of Appeals to the Board of Zoning Appeals taken up and
acted upon as follows:
F. M. Warburton Company For non-compliance with the insufficient Front
Yard Requirements for Lot 1, Block 4, Clarement Addition to the City of Salina,
Kansas. (2000 Ruskin Road )
No protests.
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to
the authorization of non-compliance with the Front Yard Requirements of Ordinance
Number 5549for Lot 1, in Block 4, inClarement Addition tot he City of Salina, Saline
County, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune,

R. K. J. Company , For non-compliance with Lot Frontage Requirements for
Lot 22, Less West 3 feet, in Block 73 Ingermanson Second Addition to the City of
Salina, Kansas.
No protests.
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled : "A Resolution relating
tothe Lot Frontage Requirements of Ordinance Number 5549 for Lot 22, Less West 3
feet in Block 7, Ingermanson 2nd Addition to the City of Salina,Saline County,
Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune,
Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and
it is Numbered 2296.
