Meeting was called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissioners McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 5th, 1960 and Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals of January 5t1, 1960 were read and approved as read. Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for the construction of South Ohio Street Smoky Hill River Crossing as follows: Brown and Brown, Inc., $20,970.00 Tucker Construction Company $37,325.00 Wilmoth Construction Company $21,988.72 B & D Construction Company $23,530.00 Jarvis Construction Company $25,920.00 Engineer's Estimate $21,425.00 Commissioner Jaeger moved that contract be awarded to Brown and Brown, Inc. as per bid submitted in the sum of $20,970.00, and checks returned to unsuccessful bidders. Contract Ordinance introduced for first reading. Ordinance passed: Number: Hearing was held on Feasibility Report for curbing, guttering and paving; Sanitary and 4orm Sewers; Sidewalks and Water Mains in Rolling Hills Addition as follows: PUBLIC HEARING ON ADVISABILITY OF IMPROVEMENTS The Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, met in the Commission- ers Room of the City Hall on the 12th day of January 1960 at 4:00 P. M. for the pur- pose of conducting a public hearing on the advisability of the following improvements: This improvement consists of a 6" reinforced concrete pavemen with incidental work thereto, to service all lots and parcels of land included within the boundaries of the Benefit District; a 4" concrete sidewalk and an 8" sanitary sewer to service all the lots in Rolling Hills Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas. Marymount Road , paving grading and curbing 41' back to back of curb from the south line of Ruskin Road, to the south line of Crawford Avenue. Crawford Avenue , paving, grading and curbing 41' back to back • of curb from the west line of Marymount Road to the west line of Rolling Hills Addition. Owners of Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery,appeared to protest their beirg charged for Crawford Street. The following letters received from City Planning Commission: Recommending that Petition Number 2310 filed by Parkview Building and Realty Company, Ire for the approval of the plat and covenants of the Indian Rock Park Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, be approved. Commissioner Exline moved to accept and approve Plat. Recommending that Petition Number 2317 filed by Earl Bane for the rezoning of North 26 feet, 8 inches of Lot 5, Block 8, Leavenworth Addition from Zone "D" to Zone "F" be approved.. Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept and publish thirty day Notice. Hearing was held on Trailer Court in Nordboe Addition. No protests. A Resolution was introduced and passed entitled : "A Resolution relating to authorization of use of certain lots as a Trailer Court with the City, under Section 13, Ordinancc Number 5549." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2293• No persons appeared to protest the rezoning of Lots 47, 119, 55, 57 and part of vacated West Place on Elm Street,Weaver's Addition from Zone "F2 to Zone "G". On motion of Commissioner Exline the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Exline (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the Resolution and it is Numbered 2292.
