A motion was made by Commissioner Yost, seconded by Commissioner Stark to refer action on a resolution approving application of the provisions of Section 23 of the United States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, to locality, until next week when all Commissioners are present. A letter was received from the Salina City Planning Commission relative to the Northeast Industrial Park Urban Renewal Project. A motion was made by Commissioner Casebee�l seconded by Commissioner Yost that the letter be accepted by the City Commissioners. Approved. A motion was made by Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Yost to set a date at the next meeting for a public hearing on the Northeast Industrial Park Urban Renewal Project. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Rundquist, the roll was called and Commissioners Rundquist, Casebeer, Stark, Yost, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. The Minutes, of the Regular Meeting of March 25, 1968, were read and approved. 1' An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of a portion of Idlewilde Place and Roosevelt Street within the City of Salina, Kansas." iI On a motion by Commissioner Yost, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist, Casebeer, Stark, Yost (4). Nays: (0). Commissioner Waddell absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 7049. Carried. i j An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "AN ORDINANCE relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of paving and grading the Alley First East a of Chicago Street with concrete (Sixteen (16) feet wide) from the north line of South I Street to the south line of Spruce Street; the paving of Fourth Street with concrete (Twenty-eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter) from the north side of Pacific Avenue to the north side of Harsh Avenue, the same being an intervening connecting street; the paving of Fourth Street with concrete (Twenty-eight(28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter) from the north side of Harsh Avenue to the south side of ! No action taken by the City Commission. Mowery Clinic revised their plans to conform with the Salina Code. A letter was received from Kansas Wesleyan University to construct a high voltage' line over Claflin Avenue. A motion was made by Commissioner Yost, seconded by Commissioner Stark to refer this matter to the City Attorney and Building Inspector for more details on the situation at the University. The City Engineer filed Change Order Number 1 for Job 492 for Water Main and Sewer Main on East North Street with Lucas Plumbing Company.
