A motion was made by Commissioner Yost, seconded by Commissioner Stark to refer
action on a resolution approving application of the provisions of Section 23 of the United
States Housing Act of 1937, as amended, to locality, until next week when all Commissioners
are present.
A letter was received from the Salina City Planning Commission relative to the
Northeast Industrial Park Urban Renewal Project. A motion was made by Commissioner Casebee�l
seconded by Commissioner Yost that the letter be accepted by the City Commissioners.
Approved.
A motion was made by Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Yost to set
a date at the next meeting for a public hearing on the Northeast Industrial Park Urban
Renewal Project. Approved.

Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 1, 1968. Meeting was called
to order by Mayor Rundquist, the roll was called and Commissioners Rundquist, Casebeer,
Stark, Yost, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. Commissioner
Waddell absent.
The Minutes, of the Regular Meeting of March 25, 1968, were read and approved.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "AN ORDINANCE providing
for the vacation of a portion of Idlewilde Place and Roosevelt Street within the City
of Salina, Kansas."

On a motion by Commissioner Yost, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the
ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had:
Ayes: Rundquist, Casebeer, Stark, Yost (4). Nays: (0). Commissioner Waddell absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 7049. Carried.

The City attorney reported on the Mowery Clinic Proposed Parking Lot. No
action taken by the City Commission. Mowery Clinic revised their plans to conform with
the Salina Code.
A letter was received from Kansas Wesleyan University to construct a high voltage'
line over Claflin Avenue. A motion was made by Commissioner Yost, seconded by Commissioner
Stark to refer this matter to the City Attorney and Building Inspector for more details on
the situation at the University.
A letter was received from the Housing Authority of Salina, recommending the
City Commission file an application with HUD for a low rent housing project. A motion was;

The City Engineer filed Partial Estimate # 4 for Job 485 for Improvements around
the Civic Center with Brown and Brown, Inc. in the amount of $46,014.12. A motion was
made by Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Stark to approve the estimate.
The City Engineer filed Change Order Number 1 for Job 492 for Water Main and
Sewer Main on East North Street with Lucas Plumbing Company. A motion was made by
Commissioner Yost, seconded by Commissioner Stark to approve the change order.

appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On a motion by Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Stark, the
