09-25-1967 Minutesf �� COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS' ROOM Salina, Kansas September 18, 1967 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners September 18, 1967. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Rundquist, the roll was called and Commissioners Rundquist, Casebeer, Stark, Waddell, Yost, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 11, 1967 were read and approved. The Mayor signed a proclamation for Fire Prevention Week for the Week of October 8 through October 14, 1967. The City Manager reported on Petition Number 2966, for a street light in the 200 block of South Tenth Street, and recommended the light be installed. On a motion by Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Waddell, the recommendation was accepted and the the petition was approved. The City Manager reported on Petition Number 2943, for a street light on Overhill Road, and recommended the light be installed. On a motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Stark, the recommendation was accepted and the petition was approved. An affida4it was filed by Donald L. Tucker in the amount of $177.05 for gasoline fuel tax refund from April 1, 1967 to July 1, 1967. On a motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Yost, the refund was approved. Petition Number 2969 was filed by Shaver and Company to remodel property at 203 South Santa Fe, in a manner that will in effect be in part on City Property for aestheticii reasons, in accordance with provisions of Section 32-41 of The Salina Code. On a motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Stark, the petition was approved. A Merchant Police application was filed by Donald Meerian. On a motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Yost, the application was held over to the meeting of October 2nd. A Resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A RESOLUTION finding that it is necessary and advisable to file an application with the Board of Tax Appeals of the State of I Kansas for permission to issue No Fund Warrants in the amount of $110,000.00 for the Bond and; Interest Account to provide necessary funds for Bond and Interest Payments due in December of 1967." On a motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Yost, the Resolution was approved as read and the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist, Casebeer, Stark, Waddell, Yost (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the Resolution and it is numbered 2955. Carried. On a motion by Commissioner Yost, seconded by Commissioner Stark, Change Order G-6, B. J. Frick and Company, for the Police Administration Building, was approved. The Mayor, with the approval of the City Commission, made the following appointmentsl: Building Board of Appeals: Sheldon Burr, appointed to August 17, 1972, in place of Leonard Wood.
