Meeting was called to order by Mayor Rundquist, the roll was called and Commissioners Rundquist, Casebeer, I Stark, Waddell, Yost, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. y f ,lAtJ The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 3, 1967, were read and approved. Bids were received on Job 480, for curbing, guttering, paving and sewer. Brown and Brown, Inc., Box 1266 $122,119.30 P & H Construction, Inc., Box 366 140,973.30 L. W. Rexroad and Son, Box 954 134,416.90 Engineer's Estimate 140,830.90 On a motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the bid was awarded to Brown and Brown, Inc. On a motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the Contract Ordinance for Job 480 was introduced for first reading. Fuller, 431 South Ohio 85.00 American Fire Equipment 90.00 i Salina Auto Salvage 250.00 On a motion by Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Yost, the bid was awarded to Salina Auto Salvage. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "AN ORDINANCE j i incorporating by reference certain building codes known as The Uniform Building Code; amending Section 9-18 of The Salina Code and repealing said original section." i J On a motion by Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Stark, the ordinance was adopted by sections, and on its final adoption, the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist, Casebeer, Stark, Waddell, Yost (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 7001. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading July 3, 1967. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "AN &RDINANCE repealing Section 16-71 of The Salina Code relative to the sharing of plumbing facilities." On a motion by Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Stark, the ordinance! was adopted by sections, and on its final adoption, the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist, Casebeer, Stark, Waddell, Yost (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 7002. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading July 3, 1967. Petition Number 2960 was filed by Mrs. Robert Hindman, for a street light in the alley between 13th and North Phillips Street, in the 300 block. On a motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Yost, the petition was referred to the City Manager to be checked. The City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications on Job 483, Water Main. On a motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the Plans and Specifications were accepted and approved. Carried. A letter was received from R. R. McPhail to lease a part of the Flood Control property for $50.00 a year. On a motion by Commissioner Yost, seconded by Commissioner Stark, the letter was referred to the City Manager to be checked. Change Order Number G-5, B. J. Frick and Company, on Police Administration Building}. On a motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the Change Order was approved. Commissioner Casebeer brought up about Truck Traffic on Ninth Street. The City Attorney was instructed to draw up an ordinance for the next meeting.
