Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners July 3, 1967. Meeting was called
to order by Mayor Rundquist, the roll was called and Commissioners Rundquist, Casebeer,
Stark, Waddell, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. Commissioner Yost
absent.
The MinLtes of the Regular Meeting of June 26, 1967, were read and approved.
On a motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Stark, a regular
4 foot sidewalk on Cloud Street and a 4 foot curb sidewalk on Lewis Street was approved.
(Petition 2956, filed by M. L. Michaelsen, requesting 3 foot sidewalks in Schippel Addition)

The City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications on Job 480, Ordinance 6992, for
the curbing, guttering, and paving of certain streets. On a motion by Commissioner Casebeer

seconded by Commissioner Waddell,/\the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids to be
received on July 10th, 1967 for the curbing, guttering, and paving of certain streets in
Job 480 including Lateral Sewer 506 in Westport Addition (ord 6983).
Petitions 2957, 2958, 2959 were filed against the resurfacing with asphaltic
concrete, of Gypsum Avenue from Front to Columbia, Resolution 2943; and Front Street from
Iron Avenue to Walnut Street, Resolution 2942. On a motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded i
by Commissioner Waddell, the petitions were referred to the City Manager to check and
report on July 17th meeting.

A Resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A RESOLUTION approving an
agreement between the City of Salina, Kansas, and the United States Government relative to
Fire Protection for the Schilling Manor Sub -Post."
On a motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Waddell, the Resolution
was approved as read and the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist, Casebeer, Stark,
Waddell (4). Nays: (0). Commissioner Yost absent. Mayor approved the Resolution and it
is numbered 2949. Carried.
On a motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, an'ordinancej
was introduced for first reading amending Section 9-18 of The Salina Code.

On a motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, an
ordinance was introduced for first reading amending Section 16-71 of The Salina Code.

City Manager brought up request to tear down the Red Barn in Lakewood Park.
There were no objections from the Commission.
Commissioner Waddell brought up reguarding repair of the brick streets in Country
Club Heights Addition # 1. The matter was referred to the City Manager and City Engineer
to report on costs.
City Engineer filed Partial Estimate # 2 - Sidewalk Job 476 - A. W. Saum and Sons -
in the amount of $4,086.02. On a motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner
Casebeer, the estimate was approved.
City Engineer filed Partial Estimate #3 - Job 475 - Country Club Heights # 4 -
Harbin Construction Company in the amount of $14,180.93. On a motion by Commissioner Waddel
seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the estimate was approved.
Partial Estimate # 2 - Police Administration Building - Electrical Equipment Co.
in the amount of $947.56. On a motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner
Casebeer, the estimate was approved.
Partial Estimate # 2 - Police Administration Building - B. J. Frick and Company
in the amount of $35,775.90. On a motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner
Casebeer, the estimate was approved.
Partial Estimate # 2 - Police Administration Building - Lucas Plumbing Company
in the amount of $1,609.20. On a motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner
Casebeer, the estimate was approved.
Second Monthly installment - Wilbur Johnson Architect on Police Administration
Building, in the amount of $668.00. On a motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded by
Commissioner Casebeer, the installment was approved.

On a motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the
ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had:
Ayes: Rundquist, Casebeer, Stark, Waddell. (4). Nays: (0). Commissioner Yost absent.
Mayor approved the Ordinance and it is numbered A-1388. Carried.

Mayor approved the Ordinance and it is numbered A-1390. Carried.
On a motion by Commissioner Waddell, the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
