03-27-1967 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS' ROOM Salina, Kansas March 27, 1967 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 27., 1967. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Waddell, the roll was called and Commissioners Waddell, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Stark, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 20, 1967 were read and approved. The Mayor signed a proclamation for Salina Legal Secretaries Association - March 28. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "AN ORDINANCE providing for the construction of certain sidewalks, for the payment of the cost thereof, and how the same shall be assessed and the manner of the payment therefor." On a motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Exline, the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Waddell, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 6960. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading March 20, 1967. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "AN ORDINANCE providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 6613 and the Zoning District Map therein and there adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof." (Oakdale Addition) On a motion by Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Exline, the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Waddel, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 6961. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading March 13, 1967. i A Resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A RESOLUTION authorizing and ordering certain curb, gutter, paving, sidewalks, and sewer and water mains improvements ordering preparation of plans and specifications, and the estimate of costs." i On a motion by Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Stark, the Resolution was adopted as read and the following vote was had: Ayes: Waddell, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the resolution and it is number 2927. Carried. I On a motion by Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Stark, the Mayor was authorized to sign an Agreement with the County Commissioners with regard to County Welfare I y Office Building and office space for Ambulance Service in the Police Administration Bbiilding Petition Number 2946 was filed for the vacation of Neal Avenue.(vacated by Plat of Key Acres 2nd Addition and Replat of Key Acres 1st Addition. Blocks 19, 20, and 21) On a motion by Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, an ordinance was introduced for first reading for the vacation of the street. // Ordinance Passed: "�'� 1 1 (C Number: b The City Attorney reported on Firemen's Pension with regard to return of 50% of amount paid in by Firemen, and stated that K. S. A. Article 14 could be changed by Charter Ordinance since it applied only to lst class Cities. Commissioners instructed the City Manager to make further research and report.
