Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners October 31, 1966. Meeting was called to
order by Mayor Waddell, the roll was called and Commissioners Waddell, Casebeer, Exline,
Rundquist, Stark, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded.
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 24, 1966 were read and approved.
Bids were received on Bonds:
Series CB -201 $1,100,000.00 20 years City -County Building
Series P-202 340,000.00 10 years Street improvements
Series PK -203 150,000.00 10 years Park Purchases
The bids were opened and tabulated by the City Clerk. On motion of Commissioner Exline,
seconded by Commissioner Stark, the bid was awarded to First National City Bank of New York
as low bidder with net interest cost to the City 3.8791%. Carried.

first reading for sidewalks on the West side of Front Street from Bond to
Republic; North
side of Wilson Street from Fifth to Front; North side of Republic Avenue
from Fifth to Third and Second to Front; West side of Third Street from Lamar to Republic;
West side of Third Street and the South side of Mulberry street adjacent to Lot 170
Third Street in Original Townsite. Carried.

A letter was received from Jerry Gray resigning from the Salina City Planning
Commission.
Petition Number 2917 was filed for street lights at the corners of Jupiter and Neptune;
Venue and Neptune; Jupiter and Hageman. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by
Commissioner Rundquist, the petition was referred to the City Manager to be checked. Carrie
Petition Number 2918 was filed for sidewalks on both sides of Willis Avenue, from
Hageman to Haskett. On motion of Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist,
the petition was referred to the City Manager to be checked. Carried.
City Engineer filed Estimate Number 8, - Job 458 - Westinghouse - 0. D. Wilmoth -
in the amount of $11,943.17. On motion of Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner
Exline the estimate was approved. Carried.
City Engineer filed Estimate Number 7 - Job 452 - Westport Exchange - Catherman
Construction Company, in the amount of $14,697.07. On motion of Commissioner Exline,
seconded by Commissioner Stark the estimate was approved. Carried.
City Engineer filed Final payment due Construction Industries on Job 450, in the amount
of $1,000.00. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Exline, the
payment was approved. Carried.

Resolution was introduced and passed entitled:
"A RESOLUTION approving
the applicatio
of the Board of Directors of the Salina Airport Authority for participation in the Kansas
Public Employees Retirement System."
On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the Resolution
was approved as read and the following vote was had: Ayes: Waddell, Casebeer, Exline, Rundq ist,
Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the Resolution and it is numbered 2909. Carried.
City Commissioners authorized the City Clerk to advertise for bids to be received on
November 14, 1966 on the following:
One -1 3/4 yard wheel loader for Street Department.
One -Aerial Ladder and Truck. One- crawler tractor for Land Fill.
One- Street Sweeper, Five - units for Sanitation Department.

City Manager reported 100% participation of City Employees for Community Chest $3,312.07
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "AN ORDINANCE making an appropriation
for the payment of certain claims." (Bills)
On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the ordinance
was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote washhad: Ayes:
Waddell, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is numbered A-1351. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
