October 24, 1966
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners October 24, 1966. Meeting was called to
order by Mayor Waddell, the roll was called and Commissioners Waddell, Casebeer, Rundquist,
Stark, City Attorney Bengtson, and Acting City Manager Harris responded. Commissioner
Exline, and City Manager Olson absent.
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 17, 1966 were read and approved.
City Engineer filed plans and specifications for sidewalks under Resolution Number 2907
(Claremont Drive, Front Street, Franklin Street, Ninth Street) in Job 474. On motion of
Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the plans and specifications were
accepted and approved and the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids to be received!
on November 7, 1966. Carried.
On motion by Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, Petition
Number 2914, for sidewalks, was approved and authorized the City Engineer to allow 3 foot
sidewalk in the Engineering Specifications. Carried.
City Manager reported on Petition Number 2913, and recommended the street light at
the corner of Lewis and Prescott Road be installed. On motion of Commissioner Casebeer,
seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the recommendation was accepted and the street light
was approved. Carried.
Petition Number 2915 was filed in protest against the sidewalks listed on Petition 2914:,
The petition was filed with Petition Number 2914.
On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, the Board of Commissioners adjourned.

Petition Number 2916 was filed for a sidewalk on the North side and East side of
I 300 South Third Street. On motion by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner
Rundquist, the petition was referred to the City Manager to be checked. Carried.
Appraisers report was filed for Engineering Job 460. On motion of Commissioner Stark,
seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the report was accepted and the City Clerk was instructed
to publish Notice of Hearing for November 14, 1966. Carried.
Appraisers report was filed for Engineering Job 453. On motion of Commissioner Stark,
seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the report was accepted and the City Clerk was instructed
to publish Notice of Hearing for November 14, 1966. Carried.
A Resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A RESOLUTION finding that it is
necessary and advisable to file an application with the Board of Tax Appeals of the State
of Kansas for permission to issue No Fund Warrants in the amount of $35,000.00 for the
Bond and Interest Account to provide necessary funds for Bond and Interest payments due in.
December of 1966."
i I On motion of Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the Resolution
was approved as read and the following vote was had: Ayes: Waddell, Casebeer, Rundquist,
Stark (4). Nays: (0). Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is
j numbered 2908. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
