07-25-1966 Minutestad COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS' ROOM Salina, Kansas July 25, 1966 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners July 25, 1966. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Waddell, the roll was called and Commissioners Waddell, Casebeer, Rundquist, Stark, City Attorney Bengtson responded. Commissioner Exline and City Manager Olson absent The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 18, 1966 were read and approved. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "AN ORDINANCE providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the ordinance ! was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: p Waddell, Casebeer, Rundquist, Stark (4). Nays: (0). Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 6928. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading July 11, 1966. On motion of Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, an ordinance was introduced for first reading exempting property located within the Schilling Subdivision from taxation and levying a tax on such property in lieu of the taxes exempted. Carried. Ordinance Passed: L I q (o Number: I Petition Number 2899 was filed by W. F. Burger, for the replacement of broken sidewalks at 1951 Queens Road - Lot 20, Block 3, Claremont Heights Addition. On motion of Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the petition was referred to the City Manager. Carried. Petition Number 2900 was filed by Mrs. Zelda M. Vermillion, for a street light at Fourth and Bond Streets. On motion of Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the petition was referred to the City Manager. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the Water plan for! Indian Rock Park was approved to install, at this time, whatever can be done with present finances. Carried. i August 8th, 1966 at 4:00 P. M. and 7:30 P. M. is the date set for the informal meeting on 1967 Budget. On motion of Commissioner Stark, the Board of Commissioners adjourned. I H. E.
