June 27, 1966
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 27, 1966. Meeting was called to
order by Mayor Waddell, the roll was called and Commissioners Waddell, Casebeer, Exline,
Rundquist, Stark, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded.
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 20, 1966 were read and approved.
City Manager reported on application for sale of cereal malt beverages by Oscar
Dale Martinson at 908 East North Street, (North Street Carry Out). On motion of
Commissioner.Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the application was approved.
Carried.
City Attorney reported on an ordinance to regulate vending from vehicles using City
streets and alleys. On motion of Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Stark,
the ordinance was introduced for first reading. Carried.

Request was received from Radio Cab Company for 3 cab stands on the north side of the
100 block of East Walnut. On motion of Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner
Rundquist, the request was approved subject to a check by the City Manager that there is
no conflict with City Ordinances or businesses located there.
Application was received from Deane Allen, to keep one horse stabled at 1815 Glen.
Application was approved by the City Health Department. On motion of Commissioner Exline,
seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the application was approved. Carried.
Community Inn Plans and Specifications were filed. On motion of Commissioner
Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the Plans and Specifications were accepted
and approved and the City Clerk was instructed to advertise for bids to be received
July 12, 1966 at 12:00 o'clock noon at the Howard Johnson Motel. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Stark, the following
airplane hangar contracts were approved for the Mayor's Signature:
L. A. Laybourn - terminated.
Morrison Grain Company, Inc. - Assigned to Salina Airport Authority.
Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Stark, the Mayor was
authorized to sign the contract for Development of Community Shelter Plan. Carried.
Application for Treating Trees was filed by Anti Pest Exterminating Company of
415 Yuma Street, Manhattan, Kansas. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by
Commissioner Rundquist, the application was approved.
On motion of Commissioner Exline,, the Board of Commissioners adjourned.

0� A Resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution authorizing and
providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the sum of
$75,649.50, to pay a portion of the cost of improving certain streets in the City of
Salina to be designated at Series PT -77 pending the issuance of bonds to pay the cost of
said work."
On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Exline, the resolution
was approved as read and the following vote was had: Ayes: Waddell, Casebeer, Exline,
Rundquist, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 2881.
Carried.
