Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 7, 1966, at 8:30 A. M. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Waddell, the roll was called and Commissioners Waddell,
Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Stark, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "AN ORDINANCE authorizing the
City of Salina, Kansas, to acquire a site for and construct and equip a building to be used
for commercial facilities; authorizing and directing the issuance of $1,500,000.00 principal
amount of Salina, Kansas, Community Inn and Convention Center Revenue Bonds, Series A, of
said city for the purpose of constructing and equipping a building to be used for commercial
facilities; prescribing the form and authorizing the execution of a lease agreement by and
between said City and Salina Community Inn of America, Inc., a Kansas Corporation."
On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Waddell,
Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered 6921. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading June 6, 1966.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "AN ORDINANCE authorizing the
City of Salina, Kansas, to acquire a site for a building to be used for commercial facilities
and authorizing and directing the issuance of $600,000.00 Principal amount of Salina, Kansas,
Community Inn and Convention Center Revenue Bonds, Series B, of said City for the purpose of
acquiring a site for a building to be used for commercial facilities."
On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Stark, the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Waddell,
Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered 6922. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading June 6, 1966.
On motion of Commissioner Exline, the Special meeting adjourned.
