03-07-1966 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS' ROOM Salina, Kansas March 7, 1966 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 7, 1966. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stark, the roll was called and Commissioners Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 28, 1966 were read and approved. A letter was received from the City Planning Commission on Petition Number 2840, filed for the rezoning of a tract of land located in the Northeast corner of Plat 52 to Local Business (District "D"). The City Planning Commission recommended that the rezoning be denied. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the recommendation was accepted and approved and the petition was denied. Carried. City Engineer filed Partial Estimate Number 5 - Job 453 - 0. D. Wilmoth - in the amount of $9,585.54. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the estimate was approved. Carried. City Engineer filed Partial Estimate Number 1 - Job 458 - 0. D. Wilmoth - in the amount of $28,400.36. On motion of Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the estimate was approved. Carried. i Electrical Contractors Bond was filed by Salina Unified School District 305. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the bond was approved.' Carried. I Petition Number 2880 was filed for the installation of street lights directly in front' A of the Grace E. Stewart Elementary School on the North and West sides. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the petition was referred to the City Manager to be checked. Carried. Richard Worth filed the Annual Report for the Urban Renewal Agency. 1 A motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Exline, for the ! City to invest Idle Funds in Government Certificates not to exceed $500,000.00. The following vote was had: 'Ayes: Stark, Exline, Waddell (3). Nays: Casebeer, Rundquist (2),I Motion Carried. ! On motion of Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, an ordinance was introduced for first reading repealing ordinances 6903 and 6904.
