02-28-1966 Minutes;' �:_0 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM Salina, Kansas February 28, 1966 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 28, 1966. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stark, the roll was called and Commissioners Stark, Casebeer, Rundquist, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. Commissioners Exline and Waddell absent. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 21, 1966 were read and approved. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ORDINANCE ratifying and confirming a contract with Catherman Construction Company, Inc. for the construction of cert improvements in the City of Salina, Kansas and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds." On motion of Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Rundquist (3). Nays: (0). Commissioners Exline and Waddell absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 6909. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading February 21, 1966. City Engineer filed Feasibility report for Sewer, Water and Street improvements for area from Seventh to Ninth Streets and from Ash to Elm Streets. ($170,783.00; City - $119,548.10; Property - $51,234.00 ). On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the feasibility report was accepted and approved. Carried. City Manager reported on Ohio Street Railroad Crossings; that if the City installs overhead blinker light at Union Pacific Railroad Crossing, they will reimburse the City and that they have agreed to regulate the speed of trains during a 60 day period while a survey is being made. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "AN ORDINANCE making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Rundquist (3). Nays: (0). Commissionere Exline and Waddell absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered A-1317. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Casebeer, the Board of Commissioners adjourned. H. E.
