COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - SPECIAL MEETING
COMMISSIONERS' ROOM

February 8, 1966
Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 8, 1966, at 8:30 A. M. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Stark, the roll was called and Commissioners Stark, Casebeer,
Exline, Rundquist, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. Commissioner
Waddell absent.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An Ordinance authorizing the
City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of acquiring a site for and constructing and equippi
a building to be used for commercial facilities; authorizing and directing the issuance of
$1,500,000.00 principal amount of Salina, Kansas Community Inn and Convention Center Revenue
Bonds, Series A, of said City for the purpose of paying the cost of acquiring a site for
and constructing and equipping a building to be used for commercial facilities; prescribing
the form and authorizing the execution of a lease agreement by and between said City and
Salina Community Inn of America, Inc., a Kansas Corporation."
On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark,
Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist (4). Nays: (0). Commissioner Waddell absent. Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is numbered 6903. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading
February 7, 1966.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An Ordinance authorizing the
City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of acquiring a site for a building to be used for
Commercial facilities; authorizing and directing the issuance of $600,000.00 principal
amount of Industrial Revenue Bonds, Series B, of said City for the purpose of paying the
cost of acquiring a site for a building to be used for commercial facilities."
On motion of Commissioner Exline, the Special Meeting adjourned.
