12-27-1965 Minutes,)0 COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM Salina, Kansas December 27, 1965 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 27, 1965. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stark, the roll was called and Commissioners Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 20th, 1965 were read and approved. I i An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An Ordinance providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 6613 and the Zoning District Map therein and there adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof." On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 6898. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading December 13, 1965. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Waddell an ordinance was introduced for first reading authorizing connection of natural gas to mobile homes and amending original ordinance number ?6657. /Carried. r Ordinance Passed: Number: b A resolution by the Citizens' Advisory Committee of Salina, recommending the adoption of minimum housing code. On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the recommendation was accepted and approved. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, an ordinance was introduced for first reading for "Minimum/ Housing Code." Carried. Ordinance Passed: 5 l C Number: C� �( d Ql A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution authorizing and j providing for the transfer from the General Operating Fund - Street Department to the Machinery and Equipment Fund as provided by K. S. A. 68-141g." On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Exline the resolution was approved as read and the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 2855. Carried. i Hearing was held on Resolution Number 2854, for water and sewer improvements in Job 4581 As there were no protests filed. written or oral. Commissioner Exline made a motion, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, that the resolution be accepted and approved and the hearing be i adjourned. Carried. i A Resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution determining the advisability of certain sewer and water mains and hydrant improvements, estimating the cost thereof, defining the boundaries of the improvement district, method of assessment and apportioning the cost between the improvement district and the City at large." (Job 458) On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Exline, the resolution was approved as read and the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell, (5). Nays:(0). Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 2856, Carried. Cereal Malt Beverage License applications for 1966. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer,10 applications were approved, Application Number 29, and application numbers 43 to 51. Carried. i On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Exline the City Clerk is authorized to take bids on a Snow Blower on January 10th, 1966. Carried. I An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, I Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell (5).
