Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stark, the roll was called and Commissioners Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 6, 1965 were read and approved. Bids were received on a Fire Truck. i Long McArthur Ford $6,122.65 Harmon and Gregg IHC $6,534.88 On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Waddell the bid was awarded to Long McArthur, if they meet the specifications. Carried. Bids were received on Fire Equipment. Central Fire and Police Supply $10,999.37 4833 Merrian Drive, Overland Park American Fire Equipment Company 9,868.65 325 North 12th, Salina, Ks. Roy Fundenberger 9,900.00 R.R.#2 Box 85, Fort Scott, Ks. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Waddell the bids were referred to the City Manager for checking and a report on December 20th. Carried. Bids were received on a Motor Grader Berry Tractor & Equipment Co. 930 South West Street Box 696 Wichita, Kansas Option A $14,815.00 Option B $16,760.00 I Salina Tractor Company Box 657, Salina, Kansas $15,995.00 Machinery and Supplies Company j 2000 Walnut St. K.C. 8, MO. $15,505.00 Foley Tractor Company 201 West Pacific $18,750.00 On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Exline the bids were referred to the City Manager for checking and a report on December 20th, Carried. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost of constructing certain sidewalks in the parking abutting the following property to -wit: 1. Lots 2, 3, and 4, Block 4, Southfield Addition West side of Roach Street. 2. Lots 14, 15, 16, 17, Block 1, Pershing Heights Addition and Lots 13,14, 15, Block 2, Replat of Blocks 1 and 2, Evergreen Park Addition, all on the north side of Cloud Street. 3. Lot 19, University Addition. " On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Exline the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell. (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 6896. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading December 6, 1965. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the' amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 6613 and the Zoning District Map therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof." I On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 6897. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading November 8, 1965. A letter was received from the Salina City Planning Commission regarding Petition 2864 for the rezoning to "F" Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, Block 3, E.M.I. Addition. City Planning Commission recommended the rezoning of Lots 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, Block 3, E.M.I. Addition. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Waddell the recommendation of the City Planning Commission was accepted and the rezoning of the above described lots was approved, and an ordinance was introduced for first reading for the rezoning of the �jprgo erty. Carried. City Engineer filed partial Estimate Number 2 - Job 453 - 0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company, in the amount of $18,440.06. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Waddell the estimate was approved. Carried. City Engineer filed Final Estimate - Job 459 - Lateral Sewer 501 - Brown and Brown in the amount of $3,044.80. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the estimate was approved. Carried. City Engineer filed partial Estimate Number 1 - Job 456 - Resurfacing - Brown and Brown in the amount of $22,435.92. On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Exline the estimate was approved. Carried. City Engineer filed plans for Greeley Bridge into Kenwood Park. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the plans were accepted and the date set to receive bids is January 3, 1966, with completion date on June 1st with a $100.00 a day penalty. Carried. Mayor made the following appointments: Planning Commission. Jerry Gray to replace Milton Thelander for 3 year term from November 22nd, 1965. Airport Advisory Committee. S. Dean Evans reappointed for 3 year term from December 11th, 1965. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." (bills) On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Waddell the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell.
