11-29-1965 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM Salina, Kansas November 29, 1965 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 29, 1965. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stark, the roll was called and Commissioners Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquis , Waddell, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 22, 1965 were read and approved. Bids were received on Sewer Cleaning Equipment. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist seconded by Commissioner Exline the bid was awarded to Victor L. Phillips, Co. as low bidder in the amount of $10,700.00. Carried. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An Ordinance authorizing the investment of certain temporary Idle Moneys of the City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 6893. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading November 15, 1965. A petition was received from Donald L. Tucker asking for gasoline tax refund of $723.56, as authorized by Ordinance 6803. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Waddell the petition was approved. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist an ordinance was introduced for first reading authorizing the use of Public Property by abutting owners for aesthetic purposes. Carried. Ordinance Passed: J Number: (Q D An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." (bills) On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Waddell the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell (5).
