06-12-1965 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution substituting"Unified School District Number 3057 for"Board of Education of the City of Salina, Kansas." to Salina Interlocal Cooperation Agreement. On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the resolution was approved as read and the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Rundquist, Waddell (4) Nays: (0). Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 2837. Carried. Persons appeared regarding Petition Number 2842 - Center Street. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the matter was referred to the City Manager to check up and report regarding the use of City Property for parking. Carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist for the j City Manager to take proposals for planting Alfalfa or wheat on Indian Rock Park Land just north of Crawford Street and East of dike. Carried. A motion was made by Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer that the County Commissioners be asked to start immediate proceedings for tax forclosure sale. Carried. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Rundquist, Waddell. q (4). Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stark, the roll was called and Commissioners Stark, Casebeer, Rundquist, ' Waddell, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. Commissioner Exline absent}. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 28, 1965 were read and approved. Bids were received on 4 police cars. Long McArthur, Inc. $8,589.00 + On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the bid was awarded to! Long McArthur, Inc. as low bidder in the amount of $8,589.00. Carried. 20 day Notice up on hearing to amend Section 15 of Ordinance 6613 to include Junk Yards', j in Special Classes for zoning. As there were no protests, written or oral, filed a motion ! was made by Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer that an ordinance be introduced for first reading for the amendment of Section 15 of Ordinance 6613. Carried.' Ordinance Passed: 0,0,,� Number: An ordinance was introduced for third reading entitled: "An ordinance providing the compensation to be paid to the City of Salina by the Grantee of the Motor Bus Franchise within the City of Salina, Kansas; amending Section 11 of Ordinance 6803 and repealing said original section." Cereal Malt Beverage Application was filed by Johnny A. Krause to sell package beer only at 1513 South Ninth Street. On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the bond was approved. Carried. Concrete Construction Bond was filed by L. S. Reineke. Petition Number 2843 was filed to name Campground Road located in the north part of Salina near Interstate 70 Highway. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the petition was referred to the City Planning Commission. Carried.
