06-14-1965 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING I COMMISSIONERS ROOM Salina, Kansas June 14, 1965 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 14, 1965. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stark, the roll was called and Commissioners Stark, Casebeer, Rundquist, Waddell, City Attorney Bengtson and City Manager Olson responded. Commissioner Exline absent. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 7, 1965 were read and approved. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance defining the procedure for the abatement of any nuisance within the Corporate Limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, and providing the method of assessing the cost thereof to the property: Amending Section 13-304 of the Code of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1960, and repealing the original section." On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the ordinance j was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Rundquist, Waddell (4). Nays: (0). Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 6858. Carried. Ord. lst Reading 6/7/19651 On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, July 12, 1965 j j is the date set for hearing for the amendment of Section 15 of Ordinance 6613 (Zoning Special Classes) to include "Junk yards, including storage, sorting, baling or processing, of rags, paper or metal". Carried. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, an ordinance was introduced for first reading for the naming and defining the boundaries of Culver Road, Stimmel Road, Diamond Drive with the City Limits. Carried. j Ordinance Passed: �� �� Number: 1 On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer, an ordinance was introduced for first reading prohibiting the obstruction of visibility of street intersections. Nicholson, 624 Reynolds. jOn motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist, the application } was approved. Carried. City Engineer filed Estimate Number 3 - Job 450 - Construction Industries in the amount of $10,201.75. On motion of Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Waddell the estimate was approved. Carried. Mayor made appointments to the following boards: S. Dean Evans to replace unexpired term of B. K. Smoot on the Airport Advisory Board. Reappointed Lawrence D. Clovis for 3 year term from April 3, 1965 on the Memorial Stadium Baseball Park Committee. Appointed Dean Naylor to replace Jim Mortimer for 3 year term from April 3, 1965, on the Memorial Stadium Baseball Park Committee. j Reappointed Earl C. Woodward for 5 year term from May 21, 1965 on Public Welfare Board. i An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." IOn motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the ordinance I was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark,' Casebeer, Rundquist, Waddell (4).
