05-24-1965 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM Salina, Kansas May 24, 1865 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 24, 1965. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Stark, the roll was called and Commissioners Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, 1 Waddell, Assisstant City Attorney Haggart and City Manager Olson responded. City Attorney Bengtson absent. The minutes of the -Regular Meeting of May 17, 1965 were read and approved. City Manager Olson reported on road north of 81-40 Interchange. On Motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Exline the street was named Diamond Drive. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the cereal Malt Beverage application by Gaynelle T. Till d/b/a Virg's 311 E. Pacific was approved. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the Cereal Malt Beverage application by Andrew Chrisbens d/b/a Paramount Bar 219 N. Santa Fe Was approved. Carried. City Engineer filed estimate #4 on Job 447 - Brown & Brown. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the estimate was approved. Carried. Proclamations: May 23 - 29, 1965 as Realtor Week May 24 - 29, 1965 as Official Beef Week May 29, 1965 as National Poppy Day Bruce Johnson & Loren Harris representing the Tri -River Fair were present asking about a bridge across river on Greeley into Park. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer it was referred to the City Manager & City Engineer for some plans and estimated cost. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the ordinance was I adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is I numbered A-1277.
