05-17-1965 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Rundquist bid awarded to low bidder and ;referred to City Manager to check that it meets the specifications. Carried. An Ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 6613 and the Zoning Distrdct Map therein and !thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof." On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer the Ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is numbered 6857. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading May 3, 1965. Resolution was introduced for passage on the paving of Second Street from Elm Street to Ash Street. On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Exline the resolution was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: 'iAyes: Stark, Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell (5) Nays:(0). Mayor approved the Resolution and itx is numbered 2823. Resolution was introducted for passage for sidewalks on Roach and Cloud Streets. On motion of Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the resolution was adopted by sections and on its finaladoption the following votes was had: Ayes; Stark, 'Casebeer, Exline, Rundquist, Waddell (5) Nays: (0). Mayor approved the resolution and itx is numbered 2824. Letter from City Planning Commission recommending that the road just north of the 81-70 Interchange referred to has Ramada Road be named Diamond Avenue. On motion of Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist letter referred to City Manager.Carrled. Better from City Planning Commission regarding Petition No. 2827 filed by Howard Bird, for the rezoning of Lots 1 and 2, Bishops Addition to District D, be denied. Motion by Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Exline that recommendation be accepted and pttition be denied. carried. Trimming & Treating trees bond filed by Jerry Green. Motion by Commissioner Casebeer, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist be approved. Carried. Mayor Stark made the following appointments; To the Saline County -City Building Authority; em . N. Waddell Robert M. Stark. to the City Planning Commission for 3 year terms from Mayl, 1965. P. G. Wilcox John Ryberg W.)W. Ostenberg to replace Robert L. Flory, Fred Haase, James E. McKim whose terms expired. Mayor Stark presented letter regarding Schilling Development Council, that since the new State Law had set up the Salina Airport Authority, the Council should be discontinued. Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist that be approved. carried. Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist made motion the the City Manager go ahead on walkway and fence at Indian Rock Park. Carried. Letter from K.W.U. regarding use of Oakdale Park and use of Swimming Pool for their Annual picnic on May 21st. Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissionee Rundquist that they be allowed to use Swimming Pool no charge. carried. Petitions filed by Junior Chamber of Commerce for Municipal Golf Course. Motion by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Rundquist be referred to City Manager. carried. On Motion of Commissioner cline, Seconded by Waddell appropriation ordinance number i A-1276 was introduced read and passed. Ayes (5) Nays (0). carried.
