COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS -REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM

April 12, 1965
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 12, 1965. Meeting was called to
order by Rundquist, the roll was called and Commissioners Rundquist, Bull, Exline,
Spangler, Stark and City Attorney Bengtson responded.
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 5, 1965 were read and approved.
i A motion was made by Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Spangler to
s authorize the City Clerk to advertise for bids on Lateral Sanitary Sewers 498, 499, 500.
Carried.
Petition Number 2828 was filed by Gleniffer Hill PTA asking for a fence around the
lake in Indian Rock Park to prevent children from falling in. On motion of Commissioner
Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Exline the petition was referred to the City Manager
to be checked. Carried.
Petition Number 2829 was filed by A. L. and Gertrude R. Manning for the rezoning of
Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Golden Belt Sub -division, from District "E" to District "G".
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Stark the petition was referred"
to the City Planning Commission. Carried.
Tree Trimming and Treating Application was filed by Markle Tree Pest Control for the
treating of trees and shrubs. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner
Stark the application was approved. Carried.
Cereal Malt Beverage application was received from Rosalie N. Aldrich to change
1965 license from 117 south Fifth to 140 South Fifth. On motion of Commissioner Stark,
seconded by Commissioner Spangler the application was approved. Carried.
City Engineer filed Partial Estimate # 2 - Job 451 - Water Main - Catherman Constructio
in the amount of $4,359.26. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner
Stark the estimate was approved. Carried.
A Resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution designating the
members of the Urban Renewal Agency for the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the resolution was
approved as read and the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist, Bull, Exline,
Spangler, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 2821.
Carried.
City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications for cement improvements at Smoky Hill
River Dam. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Stark it was
referred to the City Attorney for legal proceeding to negotiate the project. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist,
Bull, Exline, Spangler, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered A-1271. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
City Clerk
