March 29, 1965
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 29, 1965. Meeting was called to
order by Mayor Rundquist, the roll was called and Commissioners Rundquist, Bull, Exline,
Spangler, Stark and City Attorney Bengtson responded.
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 22, 1965 were read and approved.
A report was received on bids taken for installation of Civil Defense warning point at
Fire Department. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Stark the bid
was awarded to Merriman and Hoeffner as low bidder in the amount of $1,163.50. Carried.
A letter was received from the City Planning Commission regarding Petition Number 2822
and recommending approval of final plat of South Industrial Area. On motion of Commissioner
Exline, seconded by Commissioner Bull the recommendation was accepted and the plat was
approved. Carried.
Petition Number 2824 for street lights on each of the two pillars at the entrance of
Country Club Heights were Knollcrest joins Marymount Road, was filed by Mrs. D. S. Tolle.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the petition was referred to
• the City Manager for checking. Carried.
Petition Number 2825 for street light on the corner of Delaware and Berkshire Drive on
Westchester Drive, was filed by C. E. Nave. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by
Commissioner Exline the petition was referred to the City Manager for checking. Carried.
Beer License application was received from A. S. Elliott, for East Cloud Grocery
520 East Cloud Street. (Package Only). On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by
Commissioner Stark the application was approved. Carried.
Gas Fitters Bond was filed by William F. Pratt d/b/a Gas and Electric Service, 306
S East Walnut. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the bond was
approved. Carried.
Electricians Bond was filed by William F. Pratt,d/b/a Gas and Electric Service, 306
East Walnut. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the Bond was
approved. Carried.
Concrete Construction Maintenance Bond was filed by Cecil Saum d/b/a Cecil Saum
Construction Company, On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the
bond was approved. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist,
j Bull, Exline, Spangler, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
j numbered A-1268. Carried.
