Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 4, 1965. Meeting was called
to order by Mayor Rundquist, the roll was called and Commissioners Rundquist, Bull, Exline
i Spangler, Stark and. City Attorney Bengtson responded.
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 28, 1964 were read and approved.
An ordinance was introduced for "
� ed o second reading entitled An ordinance repealing
Ordinance Number 6768, the same being section 2-909 of the Code of the City of Salina,

Kansas, 1960."

On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Stark the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes:Rundquist,
Bull, Exline, Spangler, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered 6842. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading December 28, 1964.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance fixing the
salaries of the Officers of the City Court of the City of Salina, Kansas; amending
Ordinance Number 6688, the same being Section 2-908 of the Code of the City of Salina,
Kansas, 1960, as amended and repealing said original ordinance and section."
On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Bull the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist,
Bull, Exline, Spangler, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the Ordinance and it is
numbered 6843. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading December 28, 1964.
1 An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled': "An ordinance levying j
assessments on lots, pieces and parcels of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, for the
purpose of paying a portion of the cost of:
1. The curbing, guttering and pavement with concrete, 41 feet
:i•`4� wide, from back of curb to back of curb, on Ohio Street from
the end of existing concrete. Pavement just north of Elm
Street to the center line of Pacific Street.
2. The water main to be installed within the limits of right-of-way
on Ohio Street from the center line of Elm Street to the center
line of Pacific Street.
3. 1" water service to be stubbed out from the main to back of
i curb for each lot.
4. Sanitary Main and Pump Station within the limits of right-of-way
on Ohio Street, from the center line of Elm Street to the center
line of Pacific Street.
5. Storm Sewer to be installed within the limits of right-of-way
on Ohio Street from the Smoky Hill River just north of Elm
Street to the center line of Pacific Street. "
On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Stark the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist,
Bull, Exline, Spangler, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered 6841. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for first reading December 28, 1964.
City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications as required by Resolution Number 2808.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline, the plans and specificatidns
were accepted and approved. Carried.
City Engineer filed Final estimate - Job 448 - Sewers - Brown and Brown, Inc. in the
amount of $1,902.07. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Bull
the estimate was approved. Carried.
Plumbers and Gas Fitters Bond was received from William T. Lucas d/b/a Lucas Plumbing
and Heating. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the bond
was approved. Carried
j Plumbers and Gas Fitters Bond was received from Merl E. Graham d/b/a Graham Plumbing
and Heating Company. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the
bond was approved. carried.
Cereal Malt Beverage license applications were received for renewal for 1965.
On motion of Commissioner Applications from Number 6 through 43 except Number 14 were
approved. Application Number 14 was denied. Carried.

An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation
for the payment of certain claims." —
On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Bull the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist
Bull, Exline, Spangler, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered A-1252. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriatioi
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist,
Bull, Exline, Spangler, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered A-1253. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriat
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist, 1!
Bull, Exline, Spangler, Stark (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the ordinance and it is
numbered A-1254. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner "Stark the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
