Meeting was called to order by Mayor Rundquist, the roll was called and Commissioners Rundquist, Bull, Exline`y � Spangler, Stark and City Attorney Bengtson responded. I Hearing extended from November 30th, 20 day notice up on the rezoning of Lots 4 and 12 in Block 10, Shalimar Plaza Addition from District "A" to District "D" (Local Business No protests written or oral were filed. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by 1 Commissioner Exline an ordinance was introduced for first reading for the rezoning of the property. Carried. A letter was filed by John E. Andersen, the owner, regarding this sidewalk. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the petition and letter were referred to the City Manager and City Attorney for checking and report. Carried. Petition Number 2808 was filed by Robert B. Berkley for the rezoning of property located at 328 South Broadway to District "F". On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Spangler, the petition was referred to the City Planning Commission. Carried. An application for Merchant Police was received from Frank Gordon Miller. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Stark the application was approved. Carried. An application for Merchant Police was received from Willie Beard. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Stark the application was approved. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the petition was referred to the City Planning Commission. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Bull December 21, 1964 is the date set to receive bids on 2 Water and Sewage Department Pickups and 1 pickup for the Cemetery Department. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Stark the expenses of the Mayor and City Manager will be paid for the trip to Washington D. C. regarding air base closing. Carried. 1 1 12 5 A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution directing the Mayor and City Manager to seek cooperation and assistance of the Federal and State Governments in solving the economic problems arising in the City of Salina and surrounding areas resulting from the closing of the Schilling Air Force Base." On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Spangler the resolution was approved as read and the following vote was had: Ayes: Rundquist, Bull, Exline, Spangler, Stark (5). Nays: (0).
