05-11-1964 Minutes6 4. COMMISSIONER'S PROCEEDING'S - REGULAR MEETING COMMI'SSIONER'S ROOM Salina, Kansas May 11, 1964 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 11, 1964. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Tucker, the roll was called and Commissioners Tucker, Bull, Exline, Spangler, and Rundquist and City Attorney Bengtson responded. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 4, 1964 were read and approved. Zoning Notice up on the rezoning of All of Lot 4, Block 5; Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block 6; Lots 18, 19, and 26, Block 4; and Lot 4, Block 7, Rolling Hills Subdivision from District "B" to District "A"; and all of Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block 5; Lots 1, 2, 3, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18, Block 6; Lots 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, and 25, Block 4; and Lots 1, 2, and 3, Block 7, Rolling Hills Subdivision, from District "D" to District "B". No protests written or oral were filed. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline an Ordinance for Rezoning the above described, proper as i troduced for f ist r ding. Carried. Ordinance Passed: y��- Number V7_ A Resolution was introduced and pa sed enTitled: "A Resolution finding that the building known as "Memorial Hall" no longer is suitable for the purposes for which it was designed and diverting the use of said building for the use of the City of Salina for the transaction of its general business." On Motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and the following vote was had: Ayes: Tucker, Bull, Exline, Rundquist, Spangler. (5). Nays: (0). Mayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 2778. Carried. Petition Number 2759 was filed by Dr. Duane Patterson for vacation of Utility easement in Block 12 in the Replat of Lots 1 to 15 inclusive, Garden Home Addition. On motion of Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the petition was referred to the City Manager. Carried. Petition Number 2758 was filed by Harry Banker, Owner of Westport Exchange, Inc, for rezoning of land west of Dry Creek, just taken into the City, to "F" Light industrial. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the petition was referred to the City Planning Commission. Carried. Gas Fitters Bond was filed by Cain's Coffee Company, Wichita, Kansas. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the bond was approved. Carried. Gypsum Hill Cemetery Trust Deed for perpetual care to Mrs. Darlene Schaulis on the East 2 of the South 2 of the South 2 of Lot 39, Block 26 was filed. On motion of Commissio Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the Cemetery Trust Deed was approved. Carried City Attorney reported on Petition Number 2757, regarding dog nuisance at 646 South Santa Fe Avenue, It was reported that he could find nothing wrong as far as the City is concerned. Mr. Roy Faith was present regarding the improvements of certain streets in the Replat of Faith Addition. A motion was made by Commissioner Spangler, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist that approval be granted for the Engineering Department to proceed with the improvements. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, the Board of Commissioners adjourned. City Clerk
