Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners April 6, 1964. Meeting was called
to order by Mayor Spangler, the ro 11 was called and Commissioners Spangler, Bull,
Rundquist and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. Commissioner Exline absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 30, 1964 were read and approved.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance amending
Section 11 of Ordinance Number 6773, relating to and apportioning and levying special
assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, and
repealing said original Section 11 of Ordinance Number 6773."
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the ordinance
was adopted by Sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes:
Spangler, Bull, Rundquist and Tucker (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6778. Carried. Ordinance was introduced for
first reading March 30, 1964.
City Engineer checked petition number 2748 for the curbing of East side of Ray
Avenue from Neal to Laura. It was found to have 100% ownership signatures.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker a resolution was
j introduced for first reading for the curbing of East side of Ray Avenue from Neal to
j Laura. Carried.

On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Tucker an ordinance
was introduced for first reading for a sewer to serve W. side of 12th from Hamilton
north 385 feet. Carried.

Letter was received from the City Planning Commission regarding Petition Number
2939 - Rezoning E. 100' S. 140' & N. 130' Lot 12, Block 1 Tucker Park Addition from j
Zone "A" to Zone "F".

On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Bull the petition
was denied and zoning not allowed as recommended by the City Planning Commission.
Carried. I
Letter was received from the City Planning Commission approving final plat for s
Lee Industrial Park. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner
Tucker the letter and plat were approved. Carried.

11 Letter was received from the City Planning Commission regarding Petition number

2747 - City Limits on West & South of Key Acres School.
On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Tucker an ordinance
was introduced for first reading for City Limits on West & South of Key Acres School. '

the amount of $49,219.68.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the estimate was
approved. Carried.

City Engineer filed final estimate on Job 444 - Lateral Sewer 491 - Brown & Brown
in the amount of $4,167.95.
0 n motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the estimate
was approved. Carried.
City Engineer filed final estimate on Job 438 - Brown & Brown in the amount of
$14,340.42.

On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the estimate
was approved. Carried.
City Engineer filed estimate number 1 on Street Job 445 - Brown & Brown in the
amount of $7,222.50.
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the estimate
was approved. Carried.
City Engineer filed estimate number 5 on Street Jobs 440-442 - Brown & Brown
in the amount of $3,078.00.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the estimate
was approved. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the 1964 treating
trees application filed by William E. Harris d/b/a Markle Tree Pest Control was
approved. Carried.
Petition number 2750 was filed protesting zoning change of property East of
Marymount Road from Crawford Street 700' north & 200' east.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the petition
was referred to the City Planning Commission. Carried.
Petition number 2751 was filed for rezoning Lot 12 & S. 30' Lot 10, Block 8
Pacific Addition from District "B" to District "D".
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the petition
was referred to the City Planning Commission. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the gas
fitters bond filed by Dean R. Chambers was approved. Carried.
On motion ofCommissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the plumbers
and gas fitters bond filed by William T. Lucas was approved. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the lease with
the Faith Temple Organization for the building at Seventh & Decatur was approved.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."

On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the ordinance was
adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes:
Spangler, Bull, Rundquist and Tucker (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1217. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Bull the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
