02-17-1964 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS Room Salina, Kansas February 17, 1964 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 17, 1964. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Spangler, the roll was called and Commissioners Spangler, Bull, Exline, Rundquist and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 10, 1964 were read and approved. Report was made on the Flail type mower - bids were received on February 10, 1964. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the bid was awarded to Salina Farm Supply in the amount of $410.00. Carried. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the longevity pay for the officers of the City Court of the City of Salina, Kansas" On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler, Bull, Exline, Rundquist and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6768. Carried. Ordinance introduced for first reading Feb. 10, 1964. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing. for the longevity pay for the regular appointed members of the Fire and Police Departments of the City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler, Bull, Exline, Rundquist and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6769. Carried. Ordinance introduced for first reading Feb. 10, 1964. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creating and defining a certain Lateral Sanitary Sewer District in the City of Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 491, and providing for the constructioll of a Lateral Sanitary Sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 491, so created and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of special assessment against the property in said district for the payipent of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof." On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler, Bull, Exline, Rundquist and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6770. On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Bull the resolution was introduced for first reading. Carried. �7 / Resolution Passed: /! On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Bull the driveway widths should remain 30' wide as set out in the Ordinance Book. Carried. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." l On motion of Commissioner Exline, seconded by Commissioner Bull the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler Bull, Exline, Rundquist and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1210. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Exline the Board of Commissioners adjourned. Carried. City Clerk
