Meeting was called to order bp►Mayor Spangler, the roll was called and Commissioners Spangler, Bull, Tucker and Rundquist and City Attorney Bengtson responded. Commissioner Exline absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 6, 1964 were read and approved. Plat 3 Twenty days notice up on the rezoning of Lots 3 & 4/Lamer's 2nd Sub -division from District "A" to District "B". No protests written or oral were filed. On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull the rezoning ordinance was introduced for first reading. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler, Bull, Rundquist and Tucker (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6761. Carried. Ordinance introduced for first reading January 6, 1964. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for longevity payment for all regular full time employees of the City of Salina, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler, bull, Rundquist and Tucker (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6762. Carried. Ordinance introduced for first reading January 6, 1964. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for annual vacation time for all regular full time employees of the City of Salina, j Kansas, amending Section 2-902 of the Code of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1960, and 110 repealing said original section." On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler, Bull, Rundquist and Tucker (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6763. Carried. Ordinance introduced for first reading January 6, 1964. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 6613 and the Zoning District Map therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof." On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler, Bull, Rundquist and Tucker (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6764. Carried. Ordinance introduced for first reading January 6, 1964. Petition number 2735 was filed for the inclusion of 150' x 230' inthe SE4 of NE4 of Section 2 Township 14 South, Range 3 West of the Sixth P. M. - On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the petition was referred to the City Planning Commission. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the Plumbers & Gas Fitters Bond filed by Robertson Plumbing & Heating Co., Inc. was approved. Carried. i Cereal Malt Beverage application was filed by James Young of the Thompson -Tyler American Legion Post 29 308 E. North. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the application was approved. Carried. Cereal Malt Beverage application was filed by Leon & Merle Ashton d/b/a Ashton Brothers, Inc. 901 W. Crawford. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the application was approved. Carried. 1 On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull the proposal of Wilson Engineering Co. for an engeering study and report as required in Revenue Bond Ordinance 6546 in the amount of $2,800.00, was approved. Carried. City Manager, Leland M. Srack, submitted his letter of resignation and retirement as of April 30, 1964. On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the letter was accepted and approved. Carried. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler, Bull, Rundquist and Tucker (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-1204. Carried. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
