COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM
Salina, Kansas
December 30, 1963
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 30, 1963. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Spangler, the roll was called and Commissioners Spangler,
Bull, Exline, Rundquist and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 23, 1963 were read & approved.
Twenty days notice up on the rezoning of Lots 1, 3 & 5 Seitz 2nd Addition to
District "A" & Lots 18, 19 & 20, Block 7 Shalimar Plaza Addition to District "DD".
No protests written or oral were filed.
On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the rezoning
ordinance was introduced for first reading. Carried. 7

On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the lease with
Continental Oil Company on Airport Gasoline Truck was referred to the City Attorney.
Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Bull 5 renewal
cereal malt beverage application were approved. Carried.
1964 tree trimming application was filed by M. R. Welsh. On motion of Commissioner
Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the application was approved. Carried.
City Engineer filed estimate on Water Treatment Plant - Clem Less Inc. in the
amount of $28,403.04.
On motion of Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the estimate
was approved. Carried.
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution authorizing and
providing for the transfer from the General Operating Fund - Street Department to the
Machinery and Equipment Fund as provided by 68-141g, 1959 Supp, to G. S. of Kansas 1949."
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the resolution
was approved as read and the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler, Bull, Exline,
Rundquist and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered
2761. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Bull, the ordinance
was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes:
Spangler, Bull, Exline, Rundquist and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered A-1202. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Exline the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
City Clerk
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A resolution designating the
official depositories for all moneys of the City of Salina, Kansas, and directing the
City Treasurer to deposit all moneys received by him therein."
On motion of Commissioner Bull, seconded by Commissioner Exline the resolution was
approved as read and the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler, Bull, Exline,
Rundquist and Tucker (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered
2762. Carried.
