12-02-1963 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS - REGULAR MEETING Bids were received on the Mechanized card storage & retrieval machine filing system. On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the bids were referred to the Police Dept to make a report next week. Carried. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the rate of fare of taxicabs for conveying persons within the City of Salina, Kansas, and amending 16-1025 of the Code of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1960, and repealing the original section." On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler, Rundquist and Tucker (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Bull and Exline absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6750. Carried. Ordinance introduced for first reading 11-18-63. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance adopting by reference the "Subdivision Regulations of the Salina City Planning Commission of Salina, Kansas" as the rules and regulations governing the subdivision of Land in the City of Salina send Within three miles thereof." On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the ordinance was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes: Spangler, Rundquist and Tucker (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Bull and Exline absent. The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb, Westchester Drive from the east line of Berkshire Drive to the west line of Delaware Avenue. The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb, Berkshire Drive from the south line of Westchester Drive to the west line of Delaware Avenue. The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb, Elmhurst Drive from the east line of Ohio Street to the west line of Delaware Avenue. The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide, from back of curb to back of curb, Delaware Avenue from the south line of Stratford to the south line of Elmhurst Drive. 2. Water main to be installed in the above described streets with a 1 inch copper service stubbed out at each lot. 3. Letter was received from the City Manager regarding additional crosswalks in the downtown area. On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the letter was held over till the next meeting.
