Bids were received on the Mechanized card storage & retrieval machine filing
system. On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the
bids were referred to the Police Dept to make a report next week. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the rate of fare of taxicabs for conveying persons within the City of
Salina, Kansas, and amending 16-1025 of the Code of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1960,
and repealing the original section."
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the ordinance
was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes:
Spangler, Rundquist and Tucker (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Bull and Exline absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6750. Carried. Ordinance introduced
for first reading 11-18-63.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
adopting by reference the "Subdivision Regulations of the Salina City Planning Commission
of Salina, Kansas" as the rules and regulations governing the subdivision of Land in
the City of Salina send Within three miles thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the ordinance
was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes:
Spangler, Rundquist and Tucker (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Bull and Exline absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6751. Carried. Ordinance introduced
for first reading 11-18-63.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing
for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 6613 and the Zoning District Map therein
and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City
and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the ordinance
was adopted by sections and on its final adoption the following vote was had; Ayes:
Spangler, Rundquist and Tucker (3) Nays: (0) Commissioner Bull and Exline absent.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance levying
assessments on lots, pieces and parcels of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, for
the purpose of paying a portion of the cost of:
1. The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide,
from back of curb to back of curb, Westchester Drive from the
east line of Berkshire Drive to the west line of Delaware Avenue.
The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide,
from back of curb to back of curb, Berkshire Drive from the south
line of Westchester Drive to the west line of Delaware Avenue.
The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide,
from back of curb to back of curb, Elmhurst Drive from the east
line of Ohio Street to the west line of Delaware Avenue.
The curbing, guttering and paving with concrete, 33 feet wide,
from back of curb to back of curb, Delaware Avenue from the
south line of Stratford to the south line of Elmhurst Drive.
2. Water main to be installed in the above described streets with a
1 inch copper service stubbed out at each lot.
3. Sanitary sewers to serve south part of Block 7, all of Block 9 and
all of Block 10.

Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Spangler, the roll was called and Commissioners
Spangler,
Rundquist and Tucker and City Attorney Bengtson responded. Commissioners
Bull and
Exline absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 18 & 25, 1963 were
read and approved.
Bids were received on Street Job 445) On motion of Commissioner
Tucker, seconded
by Commissioner Rundquist the bid was awarded to Brown & Brown, Inc.
in the amount of
$61,929.00. Engineers Estimate $66,775.50. Carried.

was accepted and the City Clerk was instructed to publish notice. Carried.
Letter was received from the City Planning Commission regarding petition 2721
for rezoning Lots 18, 19 and 20, Block 7 Shalimar Plaza Addition from District -CII to
District "DD".
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the letter
was accpeted and the City Clerk was instructed to publish notice. Carried.

amount of $18,263.15.
On motion of Commissioner Tucker, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist the estimate
was approved. Carried.

amount of $24,630.82.
On motion of Commissioner rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Tucker the estimate
was approved. Carried.

Commissioners.
