08-08-1969 MinutesCONSOLIDATED-SALINA 1 WAIVER AND CONSENT TO HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS We, the undersigned, being the duly elected, qualified and acting commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, and constituting all the Board of Commissioners of said City of Salina, Kansas, do hereby waive notice and consent to the holding of a special meeting of said Board of Commissioners on the 8th day of August, 1969, at 4:00 o'clock P.M., for the purpose of holding a public hearing on the 1970 Proposed Budget, and con- sidering the following proposed ordinances: 1. Making a levy of taxes for general revenue for the year of 1969 for the 1970 Budget. 2. Levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost of cutting weeds on certain lots and parts of lots and the parkways abutting thereon in the City of Salina, Kansas. I 3. Levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost of abatement of nuisances. 4. Amending Section 16-25 of The Salina Code. 5. Amending Section 16-26 of The Salina Code, and j repealing the original section; and enacting Sections 16-27 through 16-29, and repealing Division 2, Article II, Chapter 16 of The Salina Code. 6. Adopting by reference the 1967 Edition of the Uniform Plumbing Code and all appendices of the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials; Amending Articles VII and VIII, Chapter 9 and repeal- ing said original Articles VII and VIII i Chapter 9. A motion was made by Commissioner Rundquist, seconded by Commissioner Yost to introduce the 1969 Tax Levy Ordinance for the 1970 Budget, for first reading. Ayes: (4). Nays: (0).
