Commissioners' Meeting
December 30, 1968
The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commissioners' Room,
City Hall, on Monday, December 30, 1968, at four o'clock p.m.
There were present:
Mayor William W. Yost, Chairman presiding
Commissioner Charles W. Casebeer
Commissioner Carl R. Rundquist
Commissioner Robert M. Stark
Commissioner G. N. Waddell
comprising a quorum of the Board, also
Ray Haggart, Assistant City Attorney
Norris Olson, City Manager
D. L. Harrison, City Clerk
Absent:
L. 0. Bengtson, City Attorney
The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of December 23, 1968, were approved as mailed.
1969 Beer License was refiled for the Dew Drop Inn - 632 East North Street -
by Margaret Hernandez. A motion was made by Commissioner Stark, seconded by Commissioner
Rundquist to approve the license. Ayes: (5)., Nays: (0). License approved.
1969 Beer License was refiled,for Virg's - 701 North Broadway - by Stella Parker.
A motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Rundquist to approve
the license. Ayes: (5). Nays: (0). License approved.
1969 Beer License was refiled for Hide -a -way - 540 Willis - by James 0. Bailey.
A motion was made by Commissioner Waddell, seconded by Commissioner Casebeer to table the
application until the next meeting for further study and checking. Ayes: (5). Nays: (0).
Motion carried.
Mayor Yost and the other Commissioners thanked Robert Stark for his fine service
to the Community and told him that they had enjoyed working with him in the past years, and
wished him success on his new job.
Donald D. Millikan took the Oath of Office for City Commissioner to fill the
unexpired term of Robert Stark. (Term to April 1971)
The Mayor, with the approval of the City Commissioners, appointed Jack Stewart
and Dr. Charles Creager, for three year terms, to the Cultural Arts Commission.
On a motion by Commissioner Waddell, the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
