Regular Meeting of the Board
of Commissioners
February 9, 1976
The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commissi
Room, City -County Building, on Monday, February 9, 1976, at four o'clock P.M.
The Acting Mayor asked everyone to stand for the pledge of allegiance
to the Flag and a moment of silent prayer.
There were present:
Acting Mayor Gerald F. Simpson, Chairman presiding
Commissioner Keith G. Duckers
Commissioner W. M. Usher
Commissioner Jack Weisgerber
comprising a quorum of the Board, also:
L. 0. Bengtson, City Attorney
Norris D. Olson, City Manager
D. L. Harrison, City Clerk
Absent:
PETITION NUMBER 3527 was filed by Salina Development Company, Inc.,
Doyle F. Yockers for the rezoning of Lots 1 through 6, Block 32, from District
"A" to District "B"; Lots 6 through 15, Block 33, from District "A" to District
"B"; Lots 1 through 6, Block 34 from District "A" to District "B"; Lots 1
through 16, Block 31, from District "A" to District "C"; Lots 1 through 17,
Block 30, from District "A" to District "D"; Lots through 5, Block 33, from
District "A" to District "D", all in Key Acres 2nd Addition to the City of
Salina, Kansas. A motion was made by Commissioner Usher, seconded by Commissione
Weisgerber to refer the petition to the City Planning Commission. Ayes: (4).
Nays: (0). Motion carried.
PETITION NUMBER 3528 was filed by A. J. Holmquist for the approval
of the plat of Holmquist Estate Addition. A motion was made by Commissioner
Duckers, seconded by Commissioner Weisgerber to refer the petition to the City
Planning Commission. Ayes: (4). Nays: (0). Motion carried.

PETITION NUMBER 3527 was filed by Salina Development Company, Inc.,

PETITION NUMBER 3529 was filed by James R. Waters, Secretary -Treasurer
of Waters Realty, for the approval of the plat of Waters Subdivision. A
motion was made by Commissioner Weisgerber, seconded by Commissioner Usher to
refer the petition to the City Planning Commission. Ayes: (4). Nays: (0).
Motion carried.
Commissioner Usher commented, that this is one of the most hazardous
intersections in the City and that development of this area will increase the
traffic, and that this factor should be taken into consideration.
A CEREAL MALT BEVERAGE LICENSE APPLICATION was filed by Elaine
Dorothy Gust, d/b/a Raddedy Ann's, 260 Smithers. (New application)
The City Clerk reported the applicant has paid the required fee and
the application has been approved by the Health Department, Zoning Officer,
and the Police Department. A motion was made by Commissioner Usher, seconded
by Commissioner Duckers to approve the license application and authorize the
City Clerk to issue the license. Ayes: (4). Nays: (0). Motion carried.
A TREE TRIMMING LICENSE APPLICATION was filed by Marvin Reinert,
d/b/a Reinert Tree Service, 118 South Broadway. (Renewal).
The City Clerk reported the applicant has paid the required fee and
has the required surety bond and public liability insurance certificate on
file. A motion was made by Commissioner Duckers, seconded by Commissioner
Usher to approve the license application and authorize the City Clerk to issue
the license. Ayes: (4). Nays: (0). Motion carried.
COMMISSION AGENDA

The Commissioners did not bring anything to the floor for discussion.
A MOTION was made by Commissioner Weisgerber, seconded by Commissioner
Usher that the Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners be adjourned.
