City of Salina, Kansas Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners August 4, 1977 The Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commissions Room, City -County Building, on Thursday, August 4, 1977 at eight o'clock A.M. for the purpose of setting the date to receive bids for the construction of the Bicentennial Building. There were present: Acting Mayor Jack Weisgerber, Chairman presiding Commissioner Dan Geis Commissioner Gerald Simpson comprising a quorum of the Board, also: L. 0. Bengtson, City Attorney Norris D. Olson, City Manager D. L. Harrison, City Clerk Absent: Mayor Keith G. Duckers Commissioner Karen M. Graves A MOTION was made by Commissioner Geis, seconded by Commissioner Simpson to set the date of September 2, 1977 at 10:00 A.M. to receive bids for the construction of the Bicentennial Building, and to instruct the City Clerk to advertise for bids. Ayes: (3). Nays: (0). Motion carried. A MOTION was made by Commissioner Geis, seconded by Commissioner Simpson that the Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners be adjourned. Ayes: (3). Harrison, City Clerk �s' 1 1 1 WAIVER AND CONSENT TO HOLD A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS We, the undersigned, being the duly elected, qualified and acting Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, and constituting a majority of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, do hereby waive notice and consent to the holding of a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners on the 4th day of August, 1977, at 8:00 A.M., for the purpose of setting the date to receive bids for the construction of the Bicentennial building.
