The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commission Meeting
Room, City -County Building, on Monday, March 2, 1981, at four o'clock p.m.
comprising a quorum of the Board, also present:

W. E. Harris, Assistant City Manager
D. L. Harrison, City Clerk

AWARDS - PROCLAMATIONS
The Mayor proclaimed the Month of March, 1981 - ''YOUTH ART MONTH''. The
proclamation was read by Janette Johnson, Lori Sanchez, and Julie Folken, Sixth
Grade students of art teacher Susi Campion, at Grace E. Stewart School.

PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ITEMS SCHEDULED FOR A CERTAIN TIME
CONSENT AGENDA
(6.1) Approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting February 23, 1981.
(6.2) Cereal malt beverage license application filed by Steve Sterling, d/b/a
Kerr McGee Service, 235 South Broadway.
(6.3) Report on bids received February 26, 1981 for two 1,500 G.P.M. Custom
Fire Trucks.
(6.4) Tree trimming license application filed by Terry Reed and Laney Messer,
d/b/a Terry and Messer Tree Service, 420 South Phillips.
(6.5) Report on proposals received for equipment to convert vehicles to dual
fuel system utilizing propane and the purchase of a storage tank.

items on the consent agenda be approved. Aye: (4). Nay: (0). Motion adopted.

DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS
(7.1) Recommendation from the City Planning Commission that the revised
development plan requested in UR77-3A, filed by Clive Dunn, Red Construction
Company, for Central Supply, Inc. on Block 10, Northeast Industrial Park, be
approved.
81-51 Moved by Commissioner Hodges, seconded by Commissioner Weisgerber, that
the recommendation of the City Planning Commission be accepted and the revised
development plan for Block 10, Northeast Industrial Park be approved. Aye: (4).
Nay: (0). Motion adopted.
ADMINISTRATION
(8.1) Report on bids received February 26, 1981 for assembled, portable
refuse containers and hydraulic dumping mechanisms.
81-52 Moved by Commissioner Graves, seconded by Commissioner Hodges that the
report be accepted and the purchase of containers and dumping mechanisms be
approved. Aye: (4). Nay: (0). Motion adopted.
(8.2) Second Reading Ordinance Number 81-8840 - providing for the vacation of
a portion of a certain utility easement in Block Seven of the Replat of Edgemere
Addition.
81-53 Moved by Commissioner Hodges, seconded by Commissioner Weisgerber, that
Ordinance Number 81-8840, providing for the vacation of a portion of a certain
utility easement in Block Seven of the Recorded Plat of the Replat of Edgemere
Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, be adopted. Aye: Graves, Hodges,
Weisgerber, Geis (4). Nay: (0). Commissioner Duckers absent. Motion adopted.

the Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners be adjourned. Aye: (4). Nay:
(0). Motion adopted.
