The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the City Commission
Meeting Room, City -County Building, on Monday, August 25, 1980, at four o'clock
P.M.

(6.1) Approve the Minutes of the Special Meeting August 18, 1980.
(6.2) Approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting August 18, 1980.
(6.3) City Engineer reports on bids received August 21, 1980 for Engineering
Project 80-667 for replacement of trees and shrubs at the Bicentennial Center.
(6.4) City Engineer reports on bids received August 21, 1980 for Engineering
Project 80-668 for sidewalk improvements on Otto Avenue from Tulane to Ninth
Street.

DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS

ADMINISTRATION
(8.1) Second Reading Ordinance 80-8808, providing for the amendment of
Section 36-613(2) of the Salina Code, and repealing the existing section.
80-236 Moved by Commissioner Hodges, seconded by Commissioner Allen that
Ordinance 80-8808, providing for the amendment of Section 36-613(2) of the Salina
Code, and repealing the existing section, be adopted. Aye: Allen, Duckers,
Graves, Hodges, Geis (5). Nay: (0). Motion adopted.
(8.2) Consideration of a lease agreement between the City of Salina and
Unified School District 305 for the lease of Stimmel School for use by the Park
Department and the Salina Recreation Commission.
The City Manager requested this item be removed from the agenda.

OTHER BUSINESS
The Mayor, with the approval of the Board of Commissioners, made the
following appointment to boards and commissions.
Electrical Code Panel
Rodney Anderson, appointed to succeed Alfred Kirchner, Jr. for a 5 year term to
April 6, 1985.
80-238 Moved by Commissioner Duckers, seconded by Commissioner Graves that the
Board of Commissioners recess into Executive Session to review possible litigation
for 20 minutes.
The Commissioners recessed at 4:07 P.M. and reconvened at 4:29 P.M.
80-239 Moved by Commissioner Duckers, seconded by Commissioner Allen that the
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners be adjourned. Aye: (5). Nay: (0).
