RESOLUTION NUMBER 98-5297
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING OBTAINING BIDS ON TEMPORARY
OTES.
WHEREAS, the City of Salina, Kansas (the "City") is proceeding with improvements to
subdivisions within the City (collectively, the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the City is authorized to issue its general obligation bonds under the
authority of K. S.A. 12-6a01 et seq. to finance the Project; and
WHEREAS, pending the issuance of the general obligation bonds, the City wishes to
provide temporary financing for the Project through the issuance by the City of its notes (the
"Notes") in the amount of $750,000. SO NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Governing Body of the City of Salina, Kansas:
Section 1. That the Finance Director and City Clerk are hereby authorized to obtain bids
for the Notes from prospective purchasers of the Notes and to present the results of such bids to the
Governing Body for approval in connection with the authorization by the Governing Body of the
