The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the City
Commission Meeting Room, City -County Building, on Monday, August 27, 1979, at
four o'clock p.m.
There were present:

Ordinance Number 8739, providing for the amendment of Ordinance Number 8526, the
same being Chapter 36 of the Salina Code, and the Zoning District Map therein
and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within
the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof, for the rezoning of Lots 1, 2,
3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, Block 1, Replat of Edgemere Addition from C-1 to C-5, requested
in Zoning Application 79-13, filed by Roberta Kaufman, be adopted. Aye: Allen,

Resolution Number 3444, determining the advisability of curbing, guttering,
paving and grading, water service and sanitary sewer stub improvements, estimatin
the cost thereof, defining the boundaries of the improvement district, method of
assessment, and apportioning the cost between the improvement district and the
city -at -large, be adopted. (Engineering Project 79-654 - Northeast Industrial

Ordinance Number 8736, dividing the city into one ward and thirty-three precincts;
amending Chapter 11 of the Salina Code and repealing the existing Chapter 11, be

the recommendation of the Building Code Advisory Board to adopt the 1979 Editions
of the Uniform Building Code, Uniform Plumbing Code, Uniform Mechanical Code,
Uniform Sign Code, and the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings,
and to repeal or modify certain section of Chapter 9 of the Salina Code to bring
them into compliance with the new building codes. Aye: (4). Nay: (0). Motion

Ordinance Number 8740, repealing Section 9-2 of the Salina Code, describing the

Ordinance Number 8741, adopting, by reference, the 1979 Edition of the Uniform
