The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commission Meeting
Room, City -County Building, on Monday, July 25, 1983, at four o'clock p.m.
There were present:
Mayor John F. Burgess, Chairman presiding
Commissioner Fortino B. Bonilla
Commissioner Merle A. Hodges
Commissioner Joseph M. Ritter
Commissioner Charles B. Roth
comprising a quorum of the Board, also present:

(6.1) Approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting July 18, 1983.
(6.2) Approve the Minutes of the Special Meeting July 22, 1983.
(6.3) Report on bids received July 21, 1983 for Engineering Project 83-706
for Latex Modified Slurry Seal.

all items on the Consent Agenda be approved. Aye: (5). Nay: (0). Motion

(8.1) Second Reading Ordinance Number 83-8966 - providing for the vacation
of a certain utility easement in Block 2, Twin Oaks Subdivision of the City of
Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
83-122 Moved by Commissioner Roth, seconded by Commissioner Ritter that
Ordinance Number 83-8966, providing for the vacation of a certain utility
easement in Block 2, Twin Oaks Subdivision of the City of Salina, Saline County,
Kansas, be adopted. Aye: Bonilla, Hodges, Ritter, Roth, Burgess (5). Nay:
(0). Motion adopted.
83-123 Moved by Commissioner Roth, seconded by Commissioner Hodges that the
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners be adjourned. Aye: (5). Nay:
(0). Motion adopted. The meeting adjourned at 4:03 p.m.

I, the undersigned, being duly elected, qualified and acting Mayor of the
City of Salina, Kansas, do hereby request a special meeting of the Board of
Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, be held on the 27th day of July,
1983, at 5:00 p.m. for the following purpose•
(1) Consideration of the advisability of holding an Advisory Opinion Poll
on the question of issuing revenue bonds for the Central Mall.
