SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
JULY 22, 1983
7:00 a.m.
The Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commission Meeting
Room, City -County Building, on Friday, July 22, 1983, at seven o'clock a.m.
for the purpose of approving a cereal malt beverage license application and
adopting Resolution Number 83-3648 expressing the intention of the City of
Salina, Kansas, to form a business improvement district pursuant to the
provisions of the "Business Improvement District Act", the same being K.S.A.
12-1781 to 12-1793, inclusive.
There were present:
Mayor John F. Burgess, Chairman presiding
Commissioner Fortino B. Bonilla
Commissioner Merle A. Hodges
Commissioner Joseph M. Ritter
Commissioner Charles B. Roth
comprising a quorum of the Board, also present:
L. 0. Bengtson, City Attorney
D. L. Harrison, City Clerk
Rufus L. Nye, City Manager

CONSENT AGENDA
(6.1) Cereal malt beverage license application filed by Salina Pizza Hut,
Inc., d/b/a Pizza Hut, 550 South Ohio. (New application)
83-118 Moved by Commissioner Hodges, seconded by Commissioner Ritter that the
cereal malt beverage license application be approved. Aye: (5). Nay: (0).
Motion adopted.
ADMINISTRATION
(8.1) Resolution Number 83-3648 - a resolution expressing the intention of
the City of Salina, Kansas, to form a business improvement district.
83-119 Moved by Commissioner Roth, seconded by Commissioner Hodges that
Resolution Number 83-3648, a resolution expressing the intention of the City
of Salina, Kansas, to form a business improvement district pursuant to the
provisions of the "Business Improvement District Act", the same being K.S.A.
12-1781 to 12-1793, inclusive. (This resolution sets the date of August 24,
1983 at 4:00 p.m. for a public hearing.) Aye: (5). Nay: (0). Motion adopted.

special meeting of the Board of Commissioners be adjourned. Aye: (5). Nay:
(0). Motion adopted. The meeting adjourned at 7:04 a.m.
