06-27-1983 MinutesJ6 CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS JUNE 27, 1983 4:00 p.m. The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commission Meeting Room, City -County Building, on Monday, June 27, 1983, at four o'clock p.m. There were present: Mayor John F. Burgess, Chairman presiding Commissioner Fortino B. Bonilla Commissioner Merle A. Hodges Commissioner Joseph M. Ritter Commissioner Charles B. Roth comprising a quorum of the Board, also present: L. 0. Bengtson, City Attorney D. L. Harrison, City Clerk Rufus L. Nye, City Manager Absent: None None CITIZEN FORUM AWARDS - PROCLAMATIONS The Mayor presented plaques of appreciation to past board and commission members: Paul Wearing, Building Code Advisory Board; Lois Gay, Rev. J. E. Jones, and Marion Klema, Human Relations Commission. PUBLIC HEARINGS AND ITEMS SCHEDULED FOR A CERTAIN TIME None CONSENT AGENDA (6.1) Approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting June 20, 1983. (6.2) Request to keep a horse in the city limits, filed by Guy R. Ryan, III, at 855 Hemlock. 83-99 Moved by Commissioner Ritter, seconded by Commissioner Bonilla that all items on the Consent Agenda be approved. Aye: (5). Nay: (0). Motion adopted. None DEVELOPMENT BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (8.1) Resolution Number 83-3646 authorizing the preparation and filing with the Department of Housing and Urban Development of a Jobs Bill application for fiscal year 1983; designating the City Manager as the authorized representative of the City of Salina to act in connection with the application; and to provide such additional information as may be requested. 83-100 Moved by Commissioner Roth, seconded by Commissioner Ritter that Resolution Number 83-3646, authorizing the preparation and filing with the Department of Housing and Urban Development of a Jobs Bill application for fiscal year 1983; designating the City Manager as the authorized representative of the City of Salina to act in connection with the application; and to provide such additional information as may be requested, be adopted.
