CITY OF SALINA, KANSAS
SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
SEPTEMBER 29, 1982
3:00 p.m.
The Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners met in the Commission Meeting
Room, City -County Building, on Wednesday, September 29, 1982, at three o'clock p.m
for the purpose of:
(1) Consideration of the filing of a Community Development Block Grant
Application with the Department of Housing and Urban Development for the
fiscal year 1983.
(2) Adopting Resolution Number 82-3611, authorizing the preparation and
filing with the Department of Housing and Urban Development of a small
cities Community Development Block Grant Program Application; designating
the City Manager as the authorized representative of the City of Salina to
act in connection with the application; and to provide such additional
information as may be requested.
There were present:
Mayor Keith G. Duckers, Chairman presiding
Commissioner John F. Burgess
Commissioner Karen M. Graves
Commissioner Charles B. Roth
comprising a quorum of the Board, also present:
L. 0. Bengtson, City Attorney
D. L. Harrison, City Clerk
Rufus L. Nye, City Manager
Absent:
Commissioner Merle A. Hodges
The Commission took no action.
The Mayor announced the City Commission would hold a Special Meeting at 3:00
p.m. on Friday, October 1, 1982 to consider these two items.
82-199 Moved by Commissioner Graves, seconded by Commissioner Roth that the Special
Meeting of the Board of Commissioners be adjourned. Aye: (4). Nay: (0).
Motion adopted. The meeting adjourned at 4:15 p.m.
